Well, as i alluded to in my earlier post we went to Bennett this morning. Walked into the office to collect our tags and noticed the big sign that informed us that they would be cutting weeds from 9 am to 3:30 pm. Had this happen to us twice last year and it is not fun. Despite the frustrations of dodging 10 pound clumps of weeds every 2 seconds I suspose it wasn't too bad. We both caught about 10 fish each and both of us got broke off by our biggest fish of the day when they tangled up around (guess what). Lots of other fish got off too from tangling up in the weeds but several nice fish were brought to hand so I'm not gonna cry. Trout crack, caddis larvae, wet ants and white zebra midges all produced. If anyone knows of a web site where we can find out the mowing schedule-please post it (please please please). Thanks and tight lines all

Google Bennett Spring Fishing Report and click on the link to Weavers. The put out a twice weekly fishing report. They have been warning people for a couple weeks that they were schedule to cut the moss today. I wish that I could have warned you. Sorry.

First time I've seen Weaver's site in season. He puts alot of work in reports- pics and all. Most people copy/paste reports and change a few items to save work. It is a good resource.

Yeah I am new to this sight but I would have warned you that it was rough fishing last friday as the moss was too high to fish as deep as you needed to led alone while they were cutting the moss. However Weavers is a great place they are as nice as anyone I have ever met and I have never used a lure that was posted on the web page that I did not a least get one bite on. try the pearl grizzly crackleback now that the moss is short almost gauranteed to slay them
