Didn’t really need another dog but my Granddaughter said Grandpa you need a Hunting Dog. 
 

So Abby adopted me. Bring out a Gun Abby is hiding. Yea hunt for a place to hide.

Old saying, beware the free dog.  Goes double for a hunting breed.  Nearly always gun shy at the least, but I doubt you are gonna be traipsing through many briar patches anyway.

She belonged to a Druggy that had been in Prison. I think he shot around her for fun.

Gun shy but she has a good life now.

Use to run Beagles and liked it. Before that had Coon Hounds and believe it or not had Bird Dogs before that.
