Al Agnew
A well-placed and considered curse word can be very useful in getting your point across.... But it's not necessary! I have yet to see the need to use them, or the symbols, although I have occasionally slipped one in on other forums. Of course, they are part of the punch line on some of my favorite jokes! gonefishin
No problem for me Phil. I have used some of the symbols you mentioned but, I really don't remember if I have used them on this site. If I have used them and it offended anyone I offer my apologies however, I don't use them to cuss or call someone a name, I use them as humor. I will comply with your wishes and not use them on here anymore. Like Terry I suffer old timers but I will try to be good. I would rather be fishin'. Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted July 17, 2007 Author Root Admin Share Posted July 17, 2007 I don't get offended at all... I just don't want it to get started. In this business, I hang with alot of guys who use such language and I always chuckle when they apologize for it, like I'm the potty mouth monitor on duty. I'm not their judge but they feel like I am cause I don't chose to use it. I understand Al's point too. It puts alittle emphasis on a statement where needed. I'm not going to police every post... no time for it. I just don't want it to over run the forum like it has on other forums.
drew03cmc
Phil, I have slipped in a few naughty words, and I apologize to everyone, but in the context, they may have seemed appropriate at the time. So, this will be no problem for anyone on here. We are all big boys and girls and know the grown up words and ways to speak...(except for Terry), but hey....old- what is it again? I kid, I kid... brownieman
afternoon: i'm on one of the other boards alot and if you don't call someone a bad name or use a cuss word in every other sentence your just not a man. i have never heard grown men talk the way they do. it is such a pleasure to come over here and read about fishing and what bait to use and how a person did the other day. thanks, i appreciate it. god bless! I don't understand. If this behavior is not to your liking which appears to be the case...why do you visit the site? Cursing on a public forum...well don't care for my grandson reading it but he see's about the same thing on prime time T.V. Myself, I know several intellegent "grown men" as you say that cuss like sailors...most of the time using these type words to place emphasis on something. Has any good advise been given / taken from this "other" site or just a bunch of non-sense? My friends say I'm a douche bag ?? Members bojack
there are many people who give great advise about fishing, lake levels, fixes for troubled motors or boats, type of baits, where on the lake may be a good spot to pick up a few nice ones. Brian K. Shaffer
We as forum members should be able to be civilized enough to know there is a time and a place for foul language. When you put it down on the internet in a forum - it'll stick til it gets found out about. So what's the point to try to sneak it in here. my 02. - Brian Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
