Hello everyone.  Wanted to see if anyone has any experience replacing or repairing the floor on a fiberglass river boat.   The boat is an older shawnee and one of the stringers (I think that’s what they’re called) is cracked.  i’ve included a couple of pics and want to know if this a feasible diy project. If so, and anyone has any experience, i’d love to hear from you and the best way to go about this

Appreciate any help you folks can give!7CC8911D-054E-444D-86DE-384DCFEE0E5E.jpeg428BE275-60EE-4F6C-911C-9E4DB8BCDDE5.jpeg

First thing you need to do is determine how far the soft/saturated wood goes.

Start cutting in both directions until you have good solid wood.....then we'll go from there.

Thanks!   I’ll do some cutting this weekend and see how far it goes.  I want sure if it was okay to replace a section of if it was as best to do the entire length.

I finally found a little bit of time to do some cutting.  I haven’t cut the entire length of the yet, but i’m pretty sure it’s going to be bad the entire length of the boat.
