Members Crowley Posted November 2, 2021 Members Posted November 2, 2021 I'm heading down to the white and norfork next week and looking for help with a game plan. I've only been on the white a couple times in early February when the river is flowing big time so not sure what to expect with the current conditions of far less flow than at that time. I have a paddle jon with a 6hp and had planned on putting in at different ramp access points, motor up about 5 or so miles then drift back down to the car. With the current flow, would I be able to do that? Where would be my best access points? If motoring up isn't possible, does anyone know of someone that would take my car down river and I can just drift down? I'm not opposed to wading and probably prefer to do that than deal with a boat but I've never waded these rivers so where would be some decent spots to wade and can you wade up/down the river for a good stretch? Same questions about the Norfork Tailwater? Thanks in advance.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 2, 2021 Root Admin Posted November 2, 2021 It sounds like you're looking at one unit most of the time which is a great flow to drift and fish. I'm not sure about a shuttle service down there... you could possible motor up from an access and fish back down to your own car. Get out and wade where it looks good/safe. Sounds like fun. Norfork - there's on the dam access and confluence access - nothing inbetween. dpitt 1
