Targa98 Posted February 8, 2022 Posted February 8, 2022 Got a question for ANYBODY who is smarter than I am at this! (Everybody) I picked up my new to me boat yesterday, I got Helix 10s for my graphs along with a Garmin dedicated to Live scope. The graphs were wiped clean as expected and I already put the new Lake Master Plus card into it. Now I am wanting to download the MDC way points for TRL and Stockton to my units. My question is regarding transferring the file from the MDC website with the waypoints onto the graph. It comes off the website as a GPX file. I think I have "unzipped" it but I still need to get it to a different style file for the graph to download it if I am correct. How in the world do I manage to do that? Im sure this is easy for someone who has done it but this is a first for me. Thank you to anyone who might be able to help!!!!
olfishead Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 As I remember, the easiest way is to download the EasyGPS program from the internet (free) and transfer your files into it, then load the files onto your SD card for your unit. You may be able to direct load on to your unit from your computer with a USB cord??? Hope this helps.
Targa98 Posted February 13, 2022 Author Posted February 13, 2022 I ended up downloading the Hummingbird PC app to a computer at home and I loaded the files onto it and they transfer it to the correct style file then Uploaded them onto the graph. I "think" I did it right but I will know for sure next week when I get the boat up to stockton to do a little fishing hopefully. Havent heard many reports from up here so were coming in blind!!!! Fishing Bass this time but usuallly always we are crappie\walleye fishing. Gonna try our hand at locating a big one or 2
