Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted August 19, 2007 Root Admin Share Posted August 19, 2007 Had several guides come in and say fishing has been fairly good for this time of year. Babler had a great morning, fishing the restricted area above Fall Creek using cream or olive micro jigs under a float. He said they caught alot of nice rainbows. He also said they've been fishing from Short to Fall Creek lately using either jigs or night crawlers and also catching some nice rainbows. The other hot spot is below the Cooper Creek access. Below FC they've also been using their jig/gulp technique. We sell a gold jig head- about 1/100th- and they've been taking a gulp egg (pink or orange) and sliding one egg onto the hook. To keep it high on the hook they put a drop of super glue on the shank and litteraly glue the egg to the hook. Fish it 4-5 feet deep under an indicator. Some guests have said it's pretty slow... this time of year it usually is. I haven't heard anything about fishing below the dam during the day....... there's got to be someone out there that's fishing in the daylight! I bet it's pretty good. There was a good wind today and cloud cover. It's from the systems coming up from the south. This is usually good for fishing. Wouldn't hurt to get some rain. WebFreeman
Any hopper action? I bought some foam last night and have been trying to tie some up. “Many go fishing all their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.” — Henry David Thoreau Visit my web site @ webfreeman.com for information on freelance web design.
