Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted August 21, 2007 Root Admin Posted August 21, 2007 As we drove to Nixa this evening, I saw 2 MDC SUV's pulling jons they use to shock fish with.... it's that time of year when they shock Taneycomo. I bet they did tonight.
BrianK Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Hey Phil & Michael- I finally made it to the SWP website and found the magical generation charts you speak of! (woulda been nice last wk) Do the guys hiding up in the dam with binoculars usually follow the schedule pretty closely? or just wait until Terry is down there to run water? Looks like water will be off all day tomorrow except for 3-8pm. Hmmmmm...maybe for shocking? Just curious and trying to figure out this crazy lake / river... bk
duckydoty Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Those are the published charts and graphs. Michael has a special crystal ball that he can gaze into full of smoke and mirrors that through years of charting and graphing based on density of fog, relative humidity, the moon phase, and how the herons squawk can accurately predict once in a while what the water might do that evening. So when Michael talks we should listen duckydoty A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
Terry Beeson Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 "The Wizard of Taney" sees all, knows all... Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!!!! Hey Ducky... you forgot to mention how Michael pees in the water, checks the color and flow of the pee, and then wets his finger, points it to the sky, and then makes his predictions... TIGHT LINES, YA'LL "There he stands, draped in more equipment than a telephone lineman, trying to outwit an organism with a brain no bigger than a breadcrumb, and getting licked in the process." - Paul O’Neil
Don Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Michael pees in the water, checks the color and flow of the pee, and then wets his finger Think twice about shaking hands with him. Don Don May I caught you a delicious bass.
Micheal Kyle Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 This is the great wizard I say here me now If they shock it will be after dark. Thats how they have always done it in the past. And yes it is getting thats time of year. Most of the time the charts and graphs are right I would say If we can get cooler weather down south In Texas and Louisiana they will start to shut it off on more of a regular basis. Right now they have to run during the peak usage time. Ah yes The magic pee you have all figured it out please keep it a secret and the wizard shall grant you all a wish. Terry I will start with you Please tell me what you want! I want a full time DJ under the pavilion so I may listen to music while I fish. Granted Duane what would you like to have? I would love to have some candy with the music. Ah yes some Candy. Granted! Brian what would you like to have? Time to come down and play with my new friends. Granted, you shall a weekend pass from now until she says you cant come and play. Don what do you want? I want everything just mentioned Granted! Ah yes it shall be. I have created the greatest place to fish it will be called TST Taneycomo Striper's for Trout, It will now be the new honey hole. Good luck and do not forget all the fun will still happen down in the water. Michael To Know People Is To Know Thier Ways!

Terry Beeson Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 The sum of the Black Crows of any two sides of an AC/DC album is equal to the Stevie Ray Vaughn of the remaining Van Halen. Oh, joy! oh, rapture! I've got a brain!!!! Oh THANK you oh great Wizard of Taney!!!! There's NO place like rebar... (click, click, click)... There's NO place like rebar... (click, click, click)...
