oneshot 1
I have been drawn for Caney Mountain many times and was so excited just camping and hunting. Guy at Church was drawn and took an old Under Hammer. He fired it and it blew up. Because it was an Under Hammer everything hit him in the Chest which was bad enough. If it had been an old Sidelock he would be dead because it would have hit him in the head. He is recovering and doing well. I told my wife do you realize that was about a $3,000 rifle. oneshot
tjm
Hard to believe the blast didn't exit through the muzzle if properly loaded. What caused the explosion?

What caused the explosion? Don't know real crazy. Because it was an Under Hammer it blew up by the Nipple, blowed the Nipple off, they couldn't find the Trigger and destroyed the Stock. He said most of it got his Chest, could see where it got his Arm. He said it put a big hole in one side of his Chest. Since the 60's I really haven't had any trouble with Muzzleloaders. I had a Pump Shotgun one time cracked the Barrel. oneshot
