AR Huzgr Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Things were slower today. Likely due to cold front that came through. Targeted walleye and got 3. 2 nice keepers and one short. . That was it for walleye, got a couple Kentucky's , catfish and some nice bluegills with it. Was more windy than I expected but didn't mind that at all and was a nice temperature out. I think the front may have scattered fish though. Johnsfolly, Quillback, bfishn and 1 other 4
Quillback Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Still some good fishing! A buddy of mine, fishing on Table Rock, ran into a school of walleye, he caught 8 on a jigging spoon pretty quickly, but only one made the 18" mark. The rest were 17-17.5, close but not cigars. AR Huzgr 1
AR Huzgr Posted August 20 Author Posted August 20 Eight is a good number any day. I've been running about 50% keepers lately so that's a pretty good percentage. They're very healthy in my opinion, nice and fat. I was thinking they were all stacked up along the thermocline last week and wondered if all the rain we had last weekend plus cooler temps messed with the thermocline a bit and scattered them. Just a guess though. Quillback 1
