Members txdave Posted October 29 Members Posted October 29 I am looking for information or a good place to find information on fishing in the badlands. My wife and I are wanting to plan a trip in May. We are retired so the amount of time is not an issue. In the fall we usually make a trip to the Gasconade river for smallmouth fishing and then down to the Whiteriver for a couple of weeks of flyfishing for trout. We pull are travel trailer so we are only limited by campgrounds. Would like to know about about public fishing access. We are also not limited to just flyfishing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. dpitt 1
Members Xraydude Posted October 30 Members Posted October 30 Custer state park has several lakes that have rainbow, brook, cutthroat, brown and maybe a few tiger trout. Sylvan lake seems to have a healthy population, we were hiking but watched a family pull fish after fish out like a trout park. It’s beautiful country. Check out blackhillsvisitor.com dpitt and Ham 2
