How close to the dam am i allowed to bank fish and where would a decent public spot be that i can walk to get to the dam?

Currently just feeling the lake out right now, ive caught a couple further down but never close to the dam. I even tried powersite dam and caught nothing.

Park at the hatchery and walk up towards the dam.   There’s a sidewalk at the end of the parking lot.  The cable across the river is the upper limit to fish.   Plenty of space to fish.
