Just started thinking (that's dangerous I know) about a get together at Capps this Fall sometime in November. How about a little one fly (or in my case jig) competition with a lunch afterwards for bragging rights on the Capps? I can put something together and we could have like brats and beans for lunch. Sundays work best for me, but I could look into a Saturday. After Thanksgiving I would be out also due to my job. Any thoughts?

Depending on the day, and provided enough notice, I might be able to make a weekend of it. Let us know Ollie!

Let me rephrase that, I can only fish on Sundays after Thanksgiving rolls around. Anyone else with ideas chime in please.

I figured more of you guys would be up for this? I know I'll probably be down on RR for C&R weekend opener, but I'm thinking the weekend of Thanksgiving or perhaps the one after that?

I will already be up that way the weekend of Thanksgiving. Planned on fishing Capps, Hickory and possibly upper Shoal Creek that weekend.

Any thought about Sunday, Thanksgiving weekend? Or maybe that Saturday?

Let's make it Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. Not the greatest time for all I'm sure. If not, someone please give out a shout for a Sunday weekend or post if you want to meet up on a Sunday morning. I did fish the creek yesterday and did alright for just a couple of hours. Eight stockers ranging from 6"-12". The small one, a brown, still had par marks on the side. Still makes you wonder about reproduction on the Capps. I did see the funniest thing when leaving though. A couple sitting on their buckets on the bank with Pocket Fisherman in their hands! They were fishing in water about shin deep in the middle of day with their bobbers and HUGE hooks with corn. Alright for kids to me, but I'm sorry, the Pocket Fisherman had me rolling! lol
