Members Indiana Trout Posted October 5, 2007 Members Posted October 5, 2007 The wife and I were there 21-28 September and the fishing was great. I caught more fish this trip than I ever have(all bows except for one small brown).99% come on an olive soft hackle which is nice since I had always nymphed before. The nymphing seemed very slow to me, so I only did it Saturday morning when there was no generation (BH Hares ear with a scud dropper). I went a few times in the evening and caught zip. (I even tried the outlet dance) Lots of fish, but what are they taking? The one evening I stayed past dark, they were still running a ton of water, so I went home. Had some good parking lot chats with folks and even helped a guy named Wayne fix his Ross reel that was locking up on him. (Thanks for the tips Wayne!) I can't wait to get back! Sometimes, if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge and lean over to watch the river slipping slowly away beneath you, you will suddenly know everything there is to be known. --Pooh's Little Instruction Book, inspired by A.
