TroutBum4wt Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 I'll be heading to Texas County for opening weekend. I hunt on a 20-acre tract that's next door to Mark Twain NF. I area had a lot of feeding sign when I there a few weeks ago with my bow. I'll came back to the Branson area on Monday and do some more hunting and of course some fishing. pvspmo Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 I hunted in Texas and Douglas counties for years. Loved it down there. For the last five years I have been up in Vernon Co. just west of Moundville. What??? never hear of Moundville... south and west of Nevada. Here are a couple pictures of camp. What do you guys stay in? Check out the Ozark Hunters Forum... lots of good info over there. Phil does a great job running these two sites and we need some more input on the Hunters site.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 1, 2007 Root Admin Posted November 1, 2007 I hunt up by Chillicothe on some friends farm. Usually don't go till Monday after opening.
Seth Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 I hunt in Gasconade County for the most part. My girlfriends dad has access to some land down in Wildwood and also some land around St. Clair. Both of those places produce some big bucks. I sometimes go down there with him during the gun season.
flyfshn Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 I hunt in Montgomery County, between Montgomery City and Wellsville MO. My uncle has 3 seperate parcels totaling 275 acres. pvspmo Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Yes it does... BRONAUGH CORRECTIONAL FACILITY. It sleeps 7 people. We have hot and cold running water, propane oven with 4 burner cooktop and a AM/FM stereo with CD and MP3 connection. She glides down the road at an easy 60 MPH. Not quite the bus we all road to school on! OK... bring all comments!
Members Morgan F. Posted November 2, 2007 Members Posted November 2, 2007 Pvspmo, The gun racks on the way out the door have to be my favorite! My Step Dad created a similar deer camp from an old Streamline aluminum trailer, so I hold your set-up in the highest regard!! Good Hunting! Morgan F.
Don Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Pvspmo, Your facilities make my tent camp look like hobo village. I usually don't gun hunt anymore but I will cave in at times. I just started bow hunting for the first time in in many years, but I'd hate to let my 30-30 rust. I'm getting the bow out at sunrise tomorrow. I hunt my parents' property here in Christian County. Good Luck.....Don Don May I caught you a delicious bass.
