Went fishing yesterday and last night. Did OK during the daylight hours on eggs and midges. Did real well during the evening on white slump busters. Here's some underwater photos I took.

Those are some nice pictures, although the third one makes me glad I am not a scud having to look at that terrifying monster lurching towards me. That just looks vicious!

When I was at Taney last I saw a dude snorkeling in the pool below the new fish ladder with some fancy under water cameras.Check out his web site for some underwater photography. Some pics are local,Tablerock&Taney, many are not.

Bman- you must have talked to him to find out this was his site? I'd like to see his pics from Taney.

Ron- nice pic!

Phil,I did talk to him.He was there with his dad who has a place on Table Rock.He was wondering if it would be ok to get in the water.I reffered him to the hatchery folks,he said they told him go for it.

I haven't seen the fish ladder pics on his site yet,I'm thinking about emailing about Taney pics.

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for your email and interest in my underwater fish pictures. I appreciate you asking about my day at Taneycomo. I didn't do too well under the fish ladder. The current was very strong, and it was difficult to even stay in place. Most of the larger fish were right in the plunge pool below the ladder and I wasn't able to hold my position long enough to get good pictures. Later in the day, I spent some time in Lake Taneycomo and was able to get a few pictures. That river is filled with fish. Underwater, I could see hundreds of them everywhere I looked. It was truly amazing. Once they sounded the horn, and released more water through the dam, again, the current became unbelievably strong and hard to work in. We left and went over to Table Rock and I got some pictures of a nice flathead catfish. I'm sending along a few of the pix for you to see. Thanks again for your interest. The Branson area is wonderful, and the fish are terrific. I will be back next fall to try again. There is potential to get some truly beautiful shots there. I just wasn't able to do that on this trip.

Here is a photo I took while fishing Taneycomo in 2006. Used my Optio WPi digital camera. It makes for a pretty neat desktop image for your PC.

Your shot has been on my machine since I first saw it. Thanks.
