If it is engraved, has a vent rib, or other features, it will have some collectors value. Mossberg makes a great shotgun also. Model 500 is about as tried and reliable as the 870. More than likely i will leave it at home when i hunt. Really not interested in selling it to collector. I think I will pass it to my grandson when he gets old enough to appreciate it.
