Roaring River Is Up A Foot Or So

The water came up about 18" from sunday, it is greenish and running nice, both falls were open a bit today.

The extra water really made the fish active, there were only two of us on the river at 9:00.

I caught a couple of 18" rainbows, went back to the shop for awhile, came back and caught a 4lb, and a 5lb rainbow right in front of the lodge, and figured that was a good day. I came back home and have been tying the rest of the day. The river should be in great shape come friday, we had really been needing some more water in the river. Caught both good fish on a red san juan worm, I caught the two 18" fish early on a Dk Green woolybugger.

I think we are going to be spared this go around, it is 41 here right now and is not supposed to get any worse here, looks like we will just get rain.

We need the water, the river really looked great today. Here is a pic of the river this morning.

Here is some pics of the falls yesterday, the river was up about 18" more, still not flooded, it is in great shape, the fish seemed to be very active.

The water is probably up about 30" total, we had almost 5" down here, or that is what was in my gauge.

You gotta quit saying that Tim. You are killing me. I really want to be there Friday, but it's going to be hard to pull it off.
