taxidermist Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Isee where twomore large stripers were caught on Bull Shoals. Mike Worley of Yellville with a 42" 38lb fish Al Denninger of Theodosia with a 44" 41lb striper
hoglaw Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Big stripers can be released 99% of the time if you have adequate tackle and don't play the fish to death. If they're using light walleye stuff, I'm sure they were badly exhausted.
taxidermist Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Its their fish and they can fillet them iof they want to. I anot argueeeeeeeeeeeeing the point, the point I am making is there are big stripers in Bull. If you want to argue then pm me.
Wayne SW/MO Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Why do you suppose they aren't seen below Taney, unless its a well kept secret? Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
taxidermist Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Wayne guessyoumust be missing the loop, Steven McCracken and Jerry Combs caught two in Beaver Creek over the weekend of April 5-6 a 37 lbs 42" fish and a 41 3/4 lb 43" fish. Nice stripers by any means. They said they were fishing above the dock near the dock on the flats across from it. Something about the water being up over the mud banks. Since I have never fished there I dont know the area.
