Members OzarkKid07 Posted December 31, 2007 Author Members Posted December 31, 2007 Al, I've got to say that's my favorite take on this thing so far! That's why I posted it! To get people to help me develop my dream by asking great questions like that. I would like to clarify that the governing and owning organization would be made up of people like us, not just people who are on TEAM. It would be open to anyone who supports the cause of protecting land from development. It would also be completely democratic, in that decisions regarding what parts would be for conservation and what parts would be for recreation and so forth. the only problem I see with relinquishing it to the government is that they would have to pay for all those things, which means tax dollars from people who don't give a rip about conservation at all would go towards it. I don't necessarily think that's fair to all tax-payers. The burden of liability and privilege should lie with those who are willing to contribute amounts of money at their discretion, not as a line-item that people overlook. Just my thoughts... Ignore the last one. this is the grammatically revised one. Al, I've got to say that's my favorite take on this thing so far! That's why I posted it! Trav Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 Hold the phone Kido! I am not conveying any opinions, on this or any other forum, that I havent "publically" spoken before. In fact, I have given lectures on similar topics, with much worse language and rowdier audiences than in this forum. I am not expecting anything I express to be respected or even acknowledged. My commentary since I have been posting on this forum has been consistant if not reliable. Sure, I critisize and even borderline to being belligerent. I am an arogant critic. I wont deny it. Anyone who has followed my posts will tell you the same. I am brutally honost and a man of my word. That is more than I can say for you my friend. You agreed to talk about smallies and trout and your still dribbling on about the focus of your money making land scheme. And, if you find being called a polital genre "negative and dispariging" then you and your 30,000 buddies should be investing in Edward Jones instead of conventing at thier sponsored venue. Thats where my money is. They do a good job with my investments. Sure is alot safer than buying a bunch of land that I cant use. And alot less polital. I know it seems Im kind of picking on ya Kido. Dont take it to personal. You kind of opened yourself up to the critism. Well, from me anyway.Haha Come down and fish Lower Taney. My critism and advise on that will seem more appealing to you. That I can guarantee you. Truce "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson
Jason Essary Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 WOW, i stop reading for a couple months and look what i missed.!.! My fellow fisherman have all went religious in one direction or anouther. What I enjoy is that everyone can say what they want, state their ideas and beliefs and we can agree to disagree; then all go fishing again. I believe I "go to my church" everytime i go hunting and fishing. That I can guarantee you. Truce There are so many fallacious statements in that post that I don't think I have time to address them all, so I will just address the worst ones. First of all, it's not a "money-making land scheme". If you have any concern with argumentative accuracy, you might want to carefully re-read all my posts on this thread, as you have obviously missed what TEAM does and what I personally want to do. We are two very separate entities with very separate goals. And yes, I answered Daddy Carp's question after I said I wasn't going to post anymore. So sue me haha. I can certainly appreciate you owning up to being an arrogant critic. As long as we're all aware of where we stand in regards to those who say "it can't be done" and those who are already doing it. (I trust that you're picking up on my sarcasm and note that it is not done out of spite, but the good-natured ribbing that I hope can be accepted.) Michael J. Thom Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 ?????????????????All went religious??????????????? There are only 5 forum members out of 2000 registered who have made a religious comment on this thread topic and one athiest, one agnostic. All have made interesting points and yes we agreed to disagree. Personally I don't have a problem with those who are not religious because when I disagree with someone it causes me to check my facts and experiences to determine if I am the one who is wrong. Unfortunately I discover often that I am the culpret who is wrong and I will PM the person that I challenged and state that fact with apologies. It is interesting how every time I have PM someone I actually have made a new friend out of an alleged adversary. Now for the ALL that we ALL can agree on..................LETS ALL GO FISHING AND SLAP EACH OTHER ON THE BACK BECAUSE WE HAVE ALL HAD A GREAT TIME DOING SOMETHING THAT WE ALL LOVE! Thom Harvengt
Trav Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 I call it as "I" see it. My opinions are no more of a fallacy than your genuine beliefs that they are. Your still defensively dragging this moot discussion. Sarcasm aside, your just beating a dead horse Kido. "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson

Members OzarkKid07 Posted January 1, 2008 Author Members Posted January 1, 2008 Does this TEAM have a tax fee status? I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but I'll assume that you are asking if it is for profit or non-profit. Well, it is for profit. It is a Leadership development business. Good profit margin.
