ollie
WOW!! I figured it might take some beating, but not that much. I will have to go down there this Sunday and take a look around. It will be a long time until they can get the park up and running the way it used to be. It really is sad. "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek! chub minnow
We went and checked out Capps today and the flood damage is extensive. The park is still closed and has lots of damage, as mentioned before. We saw several areas where the water was well up into the fields, and trapped small fish in puddles as it has receeded. This has definitely had to have an effect on the fish population there, but it was really still too blown out for us to even try to fish. Too bad, but at least the mill and bridges were spared. wily
i stopped past yesterday afternoon just to look at the damage, and everything looked good. the river was back to a normal level, and the water looked good. the gate was locked to get to the mill and the dam, but from a distance everything appeared to be normal. there's a lot of debris in the fence but that's about it.
