Members Krash7172
So no tips on night fishing from the dock? Anyone know if Berkley stopped making the pink/white powerbait?
twosets
It has been a long time (since my kids were little) since dock fishing, but you kind of do it like tight line catfishing. Phil will sell you the "hot" color of power bait. We used to use half of a night crawler, better to pick up a brown with. Cold beer is always a plus for night fishing, if you can keep yourself under control after a few. Good Luck Check out the dock reports above. "This is not Nam. This is bowling. There are rules." Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 17, 2008 Root Admin Share Posted January 17, 2008 There was a guy from town fishing off the dock yesterday am and doing extremely well using yellow power bait. Nothing big though- they must have just stocked some small rainbows. If you run into him, he think he's one of Johnny Cash's kids JC didn't know about. Sings in town and has a CD- gave us a signed copy. Nice guy and we hope him well. At least he's not another Elvis impersonator... we've topped our quota on those in Branson. Daddy Carp
Hey Phil, I met & talked with Jackson C. down at Rockaway's dock this fall. If that is who you refer to, He is a real nice guy. We had a good time fishing with him that day.
Members Krash7172
I didn't manage to get out to meet anyone but I do appreciate the input via the forum. I got in an hour or so at Outlet 1 I believe. Quickly realized I didn't know what I was doing. I didn't catch anything with my fly rod but I did manage to catch a rainbow from the boat in the slot area using a drift rig and a fly I tied. That was pretty cool. We caught our limit and Lilley's was great as usual. Pink/white "bubblegum" colored power bait seemed to be the best but nothing after dark. I am going to try to get back down there when the weather warms up and hire a guide.
