Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 6, 2006 Root Admin Posted February 6, 2006 Game was ok... Commercials were terrible! 72 commercials from beginning to end not including the NFL ones. Bottom of the heap - Buger King Stage Show Diet Pepsi #1 singer Go Daddy Gilett Fusion Emerald Nuts Decent- Diet Pepsi #2, Jackie Chan Bud Lite - Streaker Sheep "I'm going to Disney World" Bud, Staduim MC - McGwyver Good- FedEx, Cave Men (kick the dog)
Brian K. Shaffer Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 I too liked the Caveman one for FedEx. The other caveman saying youre fired and he is all, but FedEx doesnt even exist yet.. and he's all.. thats not my problem. He kicks that dog thing then gets squashed.. pretty interesting. That was Jay Mohr as the can rep in the Pepsi commercials.. he is kinda funny.. he calls Jim Rome's show a lot. Most Original - Emerald Nuts The ones that were good : FedEx Caveman Squashed / Bud Light Magic Fridge / Ameriquest "that killed him" / Hummer Little Monster Decent game.. only exactly opposite how I called it. I had Seahawks 21-10. Wrongo! best fishes - Brian Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.

Great! Best trivia/humor line of the whole game was Mick Jagger saying something like "this next song is one we could have performed at Super Bowl #1" Bill Butts Springfield MO "So many fish, so little time"
ColdWaterFshr Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Fed-X caveman was really good, but I think the Bud-Lite office/treasure hunt was a classic.
tippet7 Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 I liked the FEDEX caveman one the best. 2nd was the bud light touch football game. 3rd was the Ameriquest "mile high club" I thought that was great. You are so stupid you threw a rock at the ground and missed.
Wayne SW/MO Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 I guess I'm sentimental, I liked the Clydesdale colt. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Fish Bork Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Yeah the clydesdale commercial was really good. I enjoyed the Emerald Nuts and when they used every letter in Emerald Nuts I thought it was hilarious but my wife has never heard of Emerald Nuts and thought it was stupid. Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.
Members KRflyfisher Posted February 9, 2006 Members Posted February 9, 2006 I liked the Emerald Nuts and streaker commercials the best. Fed Ex was good, but my brother drives for UPS so I don't like to say I laughed too loud. For the season I like the Burger King commercials where they have the king playing ball, those are great. As for the game, I was confused about the MVP choice then I realized, Ward was the only one who had a decent game! I think the Seahawks should have won, but they killed themselves with a little help from the refs. But I was glad to see the Bus get one on his way out, and the Steelers seem to be one of the last franchises around who have shown any loyalty. What other team has kept a coach around for 15 years without a SuperBowl? All in all it was a sloppy game, but I enjoyed it none the less.
CaptainT16 Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 I was thinking the commercials this year were pretty horrible. I did like the bud light commercial with the hikers and they guys that get caught up with the bear, that one was pretty good. Hopefully next year they will make up for this years commercials! "He told us about Christ's disciples being fisherman, and we were left to assume...that all great fishermen on the Sea of Galilee were fly fisherman and that John, the favorite, was a dry-fly fisherman." - Norman Maclean-A River Runs Through It
Brian K. Shaffer Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 ( hopefully the ref's dont make up for this years superbowl next year ) I agree with KR.. Seahawks should have won.. but they outplayed themselves and the Steelers at the same time if that makes any sense. The referee's had their part in it.. we have to admit that endzone offensive pass interference was just plain old bull... The Seahawks blew the game on many levels. Clock mismanagement.. missed plays and missed tackles. But the Steelers still know they won with 1 or 2 very bad calls made in thier favor. No one liked that Bud Magic Fridge commercial ? Only me huh.. oh well.. ho hum.. best fishes - Brian Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
