Tightline Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 LASGTA88,I am very partial to jigs for spinning.I throw white, olive, black and sculpin with white being my favoite.Throw 1/32 or 1/16 on 2 lb test and retreive them every possible way you can till you find what they want, usually a pumping or rise and fall motion will draw strikes.Just experiment a little trout are a funny fish. Hope I helped, Good Luck!

mwfischer Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I'm a 100% spin fisherman, and I have had good luck in the past on Little Cleo's, and actually small crankbaits (Crawfish colored, very small) They're right though, lightest line you can get away with, I usually can use a green 4#, haven't seen a huge drop in fish from friends using 2#.
Dutch Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 A few weeks ago some really nice ranbows and browns were caught in that area on jerk baits.
Trav Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 100 percent spincast guy here as well. I do just fine with 8 to 10 test. In fact, I wouldnt even think of going below 6. I would be losing rigs and fish faster than I can afford to buy them. "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson
