Well with spring approaching slowly is anyone else ready to hit the links. Just wondering how many golfers are out there. I really enjoy playing and the Springfield/Branson/LOTO have some great courses. Golf is one of those sports that just when you think youve got it figured out it humbles you, kinda like fishing and hunting haha. Well if this ice would ever melt away I need to start hitting a few range balls. God bless and I hope everyone has a good day.

Golfer here! I try to play a few times per month. I am waiting for the weather to get nice one of these weekends so I can play Murder Rock! Several of the people I work with have played it and they just love it. I play Branson Creek quite a bit and find that to be challenging to say the least. Branson Creek has a really nice driving range and its only about a mile from my house in Hollister.

I work for Dick Clark's and we have sponsered a hole at the Childrens Miracle Network Golf Tournament at Rivercut the last 2 years. We always have a good time up there and that is a pretty nice course as well.

You are so stupid you threw a rock at the ground and missed.

Tippet I agree I could use some of that warm weather myself. As for you guys being able to sponser a hole in the charity tournament that is really admirable, keep up the good work. I would like to venture down to branson and play a couple courses. Well maybe I'll see ya on the greens or at the lake :)

I play alot. I live in the St. Louis metro area and play 2 leagues a week plus any other time I can go. Which amounts to 3 times a week at least. That's the schedule when the time changes to daylight savings.

I hit the heated tees every couple weeks during the cold spells but I'll play if it's above 40 and not too windy. Haven't been able to play for a few weeks now and it's killing me. Cabin fever has set in. Can't wait for March 10 which is the first league day of the year.

I play about five rounds of golf a year. My wife and I are coming to Branson Easter weekend to see a show and do some shopping. I'm going to tell her that I am going to hit the links also. Just wondering where to play at. My wife can't stand the game so I will be on my own. Any help from you guys down there. Thanks Eric.

Depends on how much you want to spend.

Holiday Hills is pretty inexpensive, but a little on the boring side. Branson Creek is $$ but beautiful and a challenge. Thousand Hills is ok, lots of par 3s, no par 5s at all. Murder Rock is $$, i have not played it yet, but hear it is not as challenging as Branson Creek. Check out Ledgestone too, I have not played it yeat, but it looks really nice and $$$.

Between the wife and myself, we have played most of the courses in the Branson area. Our favorites are Branson Creek and Ledgestone...by far the best courses, although tougher than most.

For anyone who likes to combine fishing with golf, and want to fish around Bull Shoals, we discovered a gem in Big Creek near Mountain Home. Another fantastic course, and we got a golf discount for staying at a campground in Cotter. Have fun.

I agree Big Creek is awesome. Never heard of Murder Rock, what's up with that? Where? Who designed it?

I'm surprised nobody mentioned my favorite, Pointe Royale. When those greens are running fast, it's a handful. Haven't played it in years though. I've lost a lot of money on that track.
