Struggled a bit yesterday morning. Has been like that for me every time we have rain or wind. No clue as to why.
Fish were up very shallow in coves, some running bait along the banks. Quite a bit of pairing and rubbing going on. Mostly spots with the occasional brownie or black. Caught several small keepers and shorts.
After the drizzle moved on through I went to some shallow flat gravel. Had to line up behind a couple of tmt boats, then got cut off by a dude in a jersey, driving a vee hull bass tracker of all things. Some things just don't make sense, as they say. He was fishing a jig or something similar so fast it would have taken Super Bass to catch it. The others were mostly too deep.
From about 2pm to 4pm had 10 keepers, with a very few shorts. Biggest was 19", with three more over 18". All in less than 10', all on the little guy in PBJ and the 1/8 head. The 1/16 was the deal on the cove fish.
Color is still spotty. Temps were up to 64 in places, if I believe my graph, which is sputtering a bit. Best banks have shad up on the bank.
