Well I decided to hike through Peabody River King park looking for ponds away from the road. I didn't have much luck as most were just ditches, but nice hiking. My wife decided that she wanted to go today, and I'm glad she did because I took my little one to the youth pond (parents can fish with kids) and pulled in this monster. I suck at guessing wieght, but I think it is at least four pounds. I will add, they only seemed to want the great purple worm. More natural colors didn't seen to produce anything.

Very nice, Mic. I'll bet your daughter was impressed.

Actually, she was pissed. She wasn't catching anything at that time.

Good fish, i came across a similar fish the first time i fished River King, neat place. Lately i have been fishing the older strip pits, they seem to have much better shallow water habitat. Did you see any Bluegill of size?

Nice fish Mic.

I was there, Saturday. We fished the last lake. We were expecting some fish like yours. There was no action with the bass but we started catching 10”-12” inch crappie. The boat in the picture is a 1979 Chrysler Fin and Fun that I just bought a few weeks, ago. It was just driven to the marina on Sundays by a little old lady. Oh, and by the way, we saw the signs that said "No Alcohol" so I told my buddy Bob we have to drink all of our beer, quick!

Cool, If I see you next time I'll stop by. I want to try to hike in the back lakes on the west side of the park next. It may have to wait until next year because I don't think I'll get out again before everything gets to thick.
