nhornback Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Have a site reserved at mill creek at the end of the month, but our spot is off limits until the lake level drops a few more feet... Anyone know how quickly they're dropping the water levels?
kdc Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Check the Table Rock lake Level Thread it show last 7 days
gitnby Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 http://www.swl-wc.usace.army.mil/pages/data/tabular/htm/tabrock.htm It's down 2 more feet since last weekend, but when I went by Mill Creek on Sunday, you still couldn't get to the point. Probably needs to get down to 919 or 920 for them to re-open. You might be okay?
nhornback Posted August 13, 2015 Author Posted August 13, 2015 Thanks. The guy I talked to from mill creek didn't have any answers as to what corps was going to require the lake to drop to before they opened it back up, and different people have given me different answers on how much it's dropping per day. Based on that chart, though, it'll be low enough by the 28th when I'm camping there. Never been to mill creek, heard it's amazing so I'm very hopeful it's open!
Nitroman Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 The lake has been dropping an average of 2&1/2 in. over a 24 hr. period for a couple of weeks now. So if that pattern holds @ the end of August it will be sitting around 918.5 feet. Rock View Resort Table Rock Lake Greg Pope, Owner/Operator & Fishing Guide
MOPanfisher Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Just because the water may be off the site doesn't mean it will be open/available. Depends on if any damage has been done to it from wave/wakes, debris, and roadway to the site.
nhornback Posted August 15, 2015 Author Posted August 15, 2015 Drove down and walked the point and my reserved spot that'sxlimits since I posted this. Nothing on the campground is damaged that I saw, just a lot of geese droppings EVERYWHERE. The geese have taken over, and they were not bothered by my wife walking right up to them. Keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks everyone for your input
MOPanfisher Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 The "Yard Carp" are becoming more and more of a problem on all the lakes.
