Bill you are lucky. My 07 Avalanche would burn almost a quart of oil in between 3000 mile oil changes. I looked online and found that to be normal. I loved my avalanche but it had constant minor issues. Air ride went out twice,fuel sending unit, air control unit,cruise switch and a tranny. All within 18 months. Sold it and got a Dodge 2500 with 5.9 Diesel and haven't had one issue in 7 months. I never thought I would own a dodge. Now im not sure I will buy anything but.

Not trying to poop on repaired props,but it would be wise to buy a backup. This comes from a hard lesson I learned this winter. 2 day tourney and we were in 10th place after day one. My repaired prop threw an ear early the second day. Needless to say we didn't make it to our spot cuz I didn't have a spare prop.

Yeah. No telling how much these are gonna be. With integrated steering and a dash mounted computer screen to check how the motor is running. They aren't gonna be cheap. Time will tell.

I have a 91 Ranger 492v with a 225 Yamaha. Motor rebuilt about 2 yrs ago. Lower unit is a year old. Hanby keel gaurd, Brand new carpet and seats have been redone with no tears. Try a black Zoom Mag ii worm. 3/8 oz tungsten weight insert one of those small clear rattles inside the worm. Do that with flouro line. You will have a loud bait with tons of feel. Had a lot of luck with that last year. Missle Baits Tomahawk worms work good too.

Hummingbird has 2 year warranty also. Daniel at Mobile Marine said Hummingbird and Lowrance are both pretty strict on the 2 year deal now a days. Not one better than the other anymore.

My HDS 7 went bad and cusyomer service told me to find my reciept. With some help from Daniel at Mobile Marine he found my original purchase date. Bad news was that it was purchased in Feb. 2012. My claim was made in April. I was told it was a 2 year warranty and that I was gonna have to buy a new one. I asked to speak to a higher person in charge. Explained my story. I had purchased 2 hds 7s and a struture scan in Feb. 2012. I acknowledged that I was out of warranty my 2 months and asked if there was anything he could do to help. Without hesitation the supervisor authorized for me to get a new one if mine was found to be bad. Sometimes it pays to be up front,honest and ask for help. They will be getting my business again in the future.
