Some of you guys might not like Zona but I think he is good for the sport. I have met him in person a couple of times and he is a good dude. He is over the top but I will tell you guys, his show is the only fishing show my wife will watch when it's on. My wife hates fishing shows. Ha
They work great. They aren't deep jerkbaits by any means but they run 2-3 ft deeper than regular ones. I fished Grand last winter with a buddy of mine and he was catching them on the plus one and I wasn't. I was using the original 110. I think right now a regular 110 will be all you need until water gets a little colder. I would at least have both tied on and experiment. Good luck.
This season with people knowing the franchise could possibly move the Rams were last in attendance. Sounds like the people of St.louis didn't care enough about football. It's a baseball town.
Take some finesse setups with you and leave the power fishing stuff at home. Force yourself to do it. If you can get proficient with finesse it will open up a whole new world. I started drop shot fishing this year and I have caught more fish this year than ever. Finally got my hands on some Ned rigs recently and I'm starting to learn those. I will say my first bass on the Ned was about a 2.5 lb black. Got bit on it when nothing else was working. My only problem with finesse fishing is the fact that I have to buy some more spinning reels and rods. Ha
That's one thing I have made sure to do. I don't get stuck on one thing. I might not be successful that day but I make sure and try different baits, structure, methods, depths etc... Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. If I'm not in a tournament I always fish a new spot or area I've never been to before. One of these days I might actually be a decent stick. Ha
I would want to be a minority owner of the Royals or Chiefs, Start my own fishing team to fish FLW. Bring family along to hang out and see the country while I'm fishing. Never work another day of my life and set my family up for generations.
I took a screenshot of Babler's advice so I can reference when the time is right. He just gave a wealth of information for free folks. Thanks for the help Bill. I feel like I owe you some money. Ha
My buddy was slow rolling a white spinnerbait along the bottom. That's how he got bit. He lost it on a snag and didn't have another heavy spinnerbait to use and the lighter ones just weren't getting the same result.
With stain in the lower end. That makes it even better. I love to compete. Just wondering what adjustments I could have made. I knew what area to go to but just can't close the deal. Need more time on the water I guess
I threw an RK,megabass 110,jig,Ned,drop shot and my partner used shakey head, spinnerbaits on top of those things I used. I think we just had issues locating quality fish. That's on me. Just venting a little.
Fished the Winter series today and had a tough day. Fished the lower end. Top 2 bags came from same area. 18.91 with 6 fish won it. I tried multiple spots and techniques. I always struggle in the lower end and just can't figure it out. Any suggestions?
