Kim Anderson Should Be The Missouri Basketball Coach Next Year
ruthead replied to Jerry Rapp's topic in Sports
Is Kim within 5 years of Norms retirement age? Seems like it wasn't that long ago we were watchimg him post up down low. I'd take 5 years of Kim over what we have or probably what we get after next year(hopefully after next year). -

Ditto to the above except for Justin's "She"(LOL) part. Kim would probably be the head coach now if it weren't for the "money boys" not liking his association with Norm! Congrats to the Mules! -
Got mine and looked great.

Thanks for reinforcing that. The generation thing is a crap shoot I know. That's one of my hang-ups on a trip to these places. Son is set on fishing for a big brown. Didn't know where else to look. Anywhere else anybody would suggest??

Is there no good wadeing on Norfork?
-
Looks like a nice place. How private is it? I guess what I'm saying is don't really want to be somewhere with 30 other people and kids running around. The more secluded or private the better.

Montauk will hopefully be a shorter trip this year. Almost pulled the trigger to go there this past Thanksgiving but at last minute ssssswitched to Taney. Son has been lookin at all the pics of these big browns and seems to think he has to go to Ark to catch one.

I have Sunburst Ranch and River of life on the list. They both sound pretty nice! Not familiar with the bridge locations. Where are they at? -

O.K. fellow members. The wife has decided that this summer is the big wadeing fish vacation. This is kinda #2 sons graduation trip. SO, I'm looking for suggestions on where to go. Missouri or Ark for a week is about all our time schedule will permit. I've done a lot of surfing the net sorting through whats real and whats just a good website is kinda tough. We are also considering a guide probably for 1 day. While we are not experts we are not beginners after 18 years. Fairly versed in dry fly and indicator style fishing although we've been limited to Taney, Bennett Spring and Roaring River. We really enjoy Taney when the water is off or 1 unit. Any more flow than that and gets tough for wife to stand. Not shufflers or outlet fisherman. Wade water is the key. I know a lot of you on here are very versed in the waters in this area. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated in helping me plan this trip for my family. If any of you feel you need any more info to steer me in the right direction please ask. Looking forward to your responses. I've posted this in other forums here for maximum exposure.

Thanks. He's been fly fishin all his life. He used to be really tiny for his age and it's been really fun all the compliments he gets on his casting from the old timers at BSSP. I also have a 14 yr old son that is probably a better caster than this one was at 14. (Proud Dad!) They're both better than me and that's just great! I'll post a pic that's even better tonight. Casters will really appreciate it. At least I did.

Nice to meet you in person oneshot. When I saw you sittin there on the bank I thought that jacket looked familiar from a pic on here somewhere. Figured nothing to loose so i asked. Glad we could bring you some luck as you pulled one in while we were standing there. That was about hour 4 of ever fishing the Niangua. It was a dual purpose trip as son is graduating high school and I got some neat pics of him fishin. My son caught 2 6" Browns down river Friday night and broke off 3 others. Just the 1 bow Saturday afternoon. Had no idea where to go but at least we didn't get skunked. We got a lot to try an figure out fishin that area. Lost 3 pine squirrel sculpin. Guess I better tie up more for next trip. That and bead headed woolies was really all we threw. Didn't really know what else to try.

Headin down this weekend. Anybody been lately or gonna be there this weekend? I feel the cabin fever goin down already

Got out Saturday to wet a line and they were just about to break loose biteing and then wake up to snow on the ground today. Oh well, at least got out yesterday. Caught 3 crappie and 2 Bass. Wife got 0 bites on our trpically best crappie jig. I used my trusty eagle claw fly outfit . Think the slow suspending fly (same as I tied for the fly swap) was the ticket.

you don't!!

You ARE the Man. Never caught one of those. I don't see any feathers on the cam shaft so I guess you didn't use it on the Pelican.

Yep, got mor time now. That wind will help warm the water up!
