Hunted Bull Shoals between Cedar Creek and Snapps with a buddy and a 17-18 year old kid that he brought and managed to scratch out a lone Gaddie, a very well aged/ 4 plus years expired Bud Light, a blue ray dvd of Dragon, and several plastic bottle filled with water. About 7:30 had a single fly down the main lake and never gave us a look, around 8:45 had a pair of mallards come in and probably would of worked if it wouldn't of been for one of standing around out of the blind with the dawg retrieving rocks, one of her stupid pet tricks when birds aren't flying . about 9am had a flock of a dozen geese give us a serious good look but knew something wasn't right when they couldn't find the invisible geese decoys calling at them. Around 9:30 had the single come back up the lake and locked up and came right in locked up and on a string. landing gear came down and the other 2 shooters popped and simultaneously shot and double tap him, poor thing didn't even have a chance. Nothing flying after that and figured there would be since there was a couple guys in a duck boat running every cove including ours until they seen the mojos and vered back out. Waved at them and they continued on, hope they found some but didn't see any flying out of any of the coves they hit in our area. Never heard another shot from Beaver to K dock, did hear some very distant shots early but nothing after 7:30. Before we picked up I was reminencing how when my boys were younger, 7 or 8, when it was slow like this i'd pick up dirt clods or bottles and throw em up for them to shoot and that's when the kid pulls out a very well aged/ 4 plus years expired unopened Bud Light can he found behind us as we were setting up. So we had alil fun and did some hillbilly skeet shootin' with some flood debris . One lesson that was learned was to make sure you are up wind when you shoot at a 4 plus year old expired Bud Light, not the most pleasant smelling thing when the spray comes back at you, glad I was standing off to the side when I threw the can .
