  1. Looks like you got em pretty good BW. I'll add a couple; Canada's: (cheeto eaters, corn grinders, thumpers (cause that what they sound like when they hit the ground ) Buffle heads: Buffet Heads Ringnecks: Ringers Gadwall: G-ducks Hooded Mergs: Sawbills Shovelers: Ladle Lips
  2. Believe she's got it figured out .
  3. #'s of birds killed/shot at wise this has been one of the worse seasons I can remember in over 20 years of duck hunting, but hunting wise with good friends/family or just the dawg and I, this has been one of the best as I don't equate success of the hunt into the # of kills you get and I wouldn't trade it for anything as I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to go in the first place. The success to me is the whole xperience from pulling out of the drive to pulling back in. Now don't get me wrong as I like shooting at birds as much as the next guy but I don't get picky with shooting nothing but drakes and although understand it I never did get the whole dead hens don't lay eggs mumbo jumbo, dead drakes don't breed lives hens either , if they didn't want us to shoot hens they wouldn't put a limit on them. Last Sunday I never fired a shot and we only seen 5 ducks total that didn't barely give us a look as the flew by high and out of range, but taking someone out for the time and answering all his questions the best I could and seeing all the other wonders of the lords creations as the sun was coming up including the 4 bald Eagles made trip worthwhile and I'd do it again and again.
  4. Cool pics. My son said they seen 7 of them in the Beaver Creek area on Bull Shoals last Saturday.
  5. Way to get it done, congrats.
  6. Thanks, its definately one that's going to be printed and framed.
  7. On a recent scouting mission down on Bull Shoals was crossing this little creek and waterfall when I think "that would make a good pic". Didn't think it would turn out very good taking it with my Samsung cell phone but was pleasantly surprised when I uploaded it with Instagram. Walked the distance of the Conservation area shoreline from one end to the other end and back and never saw a duck but it was good morning to get out and just walk around with the black dawg.
  8. As heavy and bulky as it is I can't say as I don't blame em for not wanting to haul it out .
  9. Awsome.
  10. While walking around and scouting shallow water pockets this morning looking for potential spots with the water dropping came across a make shift blind and found a 3 D cell digi camo Mag-light that hd been there for some time. Picked it up, wiped off the mud from lense and turned it on. Works good. I'm all about returning lost property to rightful owner so if anyone on here left it behind after a hunt and wants it back just post up where I found it and the type of batteries that are in it. Looks fairly new and still has the extra bulb in the spring.
  11. Good mess of ringers there Pat. Been seeing good rafts of divers the last week or so on both taney and bull shoals on the main lakes, just couldn't pull em back into the creeks on BS Hopefully with this melt down they'll start hitting the coves and shallow water mud flats.
  12. From what I've heard Taney was/is good, just not seeing the numbers on bull shoals like we're used to. Large #s on the flat in Roark creek. Seen where a buddy shot a awsome 5 species mixed bag yesterday on taney, drake mallet, drake and hen ring neck, drake hooded merg, drake widgeon, and a drake gwt. Have to get onto him for taking the hen ring neck and not waiting on a drake gaddie or another species drake .
  13. Didn't do any good. shot 2 gaddies that came in and that was it yesterday. Had one flock of 8 ducks that might of worked us if we hadn't already packed up and was walking out. Thought we were going to have a chance on a flock of geese but couldn't convince em to come into the duck only spread, gave us a good look tho just not close enough. Did some driving around and found 1/2 dozen or so sitting on beaver pond at kissee mills park in beaver and not a single duck on the creek from slough hollow up past the tea tables as far we could go. We were driving looking at the ducks on the pond I look over to see a guy putting the sneak on em. Anyone here drive a green toyota tundra with a dog kennel in the back? Hope we didn't mess your jump shoot up to much. Did find a good raft of divers sitting out in front the ramp at k dock, mostly ring necks with few hoodies and golden eyes.
  14. Good but not good report DD . Hunted with the boy sunday afternoon and seen several large flocks of high flying migrators heading south that wanted nothing to do with where we were. Hoping that there's a few stragglers that couldn't keep up decided to rest up for a couple days in the morning .
  15. Nice and congrats.
  16. Awsome and amen. Cool pic FnF
  17. Awsome post and excellent info for everyone to know and have on them.
  18. Knowing both those deputies I'm sure they would of rather been.
  19. Oh yea, good pics and congrats on the harverst Michael. I Need to tell deputy Kempf and Darren their famous next time I see em in the PD .
  20. Just tell him that he's invading your property as your in your boat on public property and that their disturbing your peace . counter complaints. This is one of the main reasons I gave up hunting Taney, homeowners and fishermen. I hunt to get away from it all and relax, not to have worry about defending my rights and actions from someone making claims that a shot was fired towards or on their property. A number of years ago a buddy had to defend himself in court on a complaint that he shot towards someones house. no evidence just the property owners word vs. the hunters. agent wrote the ticket, he went to court and judge threw it out as there was no injury/damage or evidence of the claims. Not saying he didn't shoot towards the property as I wasn't there, and he says he didn't, but it's still a day he had to defend himself not only with the agent but in court.
  21. Thanks, she's not too bad for a spoiled house dawg.
  22. No wedding bands on eithers leg.
  23. That was I in the silver gmc that pulled in behind ya at 76/160. Geese had been hittin' that flat pretty hard but haven't seen them the last couple days.
  24. Congrats and nice pic. Wouldn't mind pushing a few of them down south would ya .
