Checked the battery, removed and cleaned all connections, and changed the fuse that's under the cowling even tho it appeared to not be burned out. No power to the neutral switch so don't think it's that just yet. Want to say there was no power out of the green wire but if there is then are you saying I need to trace it to the solenoind? Chokes not working that I can tell, push in and nothing that I can see or hear around the carbs.

the boat is a 1860 g3 with a 2 stroke 90 hp tlrc yamaha. Motor is a 03 model. very basic set up, no instrument panel . side mount 703 remote control box. Pulled the ignition switch out and check all the connections to make sure nothing broke loose or pulled apart, and then put a 12 volt light tester on it to check for power. Have power to the switch with the red wire, turn the key one click and have power with thru the yellow wire and I believe the green but can't remember right off hand, checked the blue and white wires and no power with the key in any position. No power going to the throttle relay switch from the brown wires . Thinking that the switch might be bad???? But I'm not a expert by anymeans.

This past wednesday on Bull Shoals while running up the lake heading back to the ramp after fishing, about 3 miles from the ramp and into a strong head wind the motor starts cutting out, but not dying, at full throttle. Back it down to the 3/4 throttle and it ran fine. Go back up to full throttle and it starts cutting out again, went back down to 1/2 - 3/4 throttle. Made it back to the ramp and go to put the boat on the trailer and it won't start, no power when turning the key???? Check all connections, kill switch, make sure it's in neutral, and fuses and everything seem fine, power to all the accesories and tilt and trim works but nothing to motor when turning the key. May be the ingnition switch but would that cause the motor to cut out at full throttle? Thinking possibly power pack but would that cause there to be no power to the motor from ignition??? Also checked the fuel line connections, primer bulb, and vent on the tank and everything was in check like it should be. Motor is approximately 6 years old. Also can anyone recommend a good and reasonable outboard motor mechanic incase this is something more than I can fix? Thanks, John

Seen about half dozen or so last year while bowfishing when the water was up in the fields below the dam. A couple that went 5 to 6 foot easily. I've also seen them Taneycomo in the past but only a couple.

Some of my best and most memorable hunts were ones where a shot was never fired.

Awsome pics. If it wasn't for the dogs I probably wouldn't duck hunt. Only lost one bird this year and it was because it had a stronger will to survive then the dawg had at it getting it . Have to say if it wasn't for the dog we'd probably lost about half of what we shot or atleast worn ourselves plumb out chasing them down. Looked into getting a Boyken once until I hunted one. Great lil dog when it came to retrieving and blind manners and everything you'd like to see in a hunting dog until it came time to pick out the cockleburrs  shoulda just shaved her by the time we were done. 4 legged velcro pad . Good dawgs and if I hunted where there no cockleburrs I'd probably have.

Hope you get to feeling better dd. Didn't miss anything that we could see in the Beaver Creek area on BS. Boy shot 3 times at a pair of gads and only managed to pull feathers to watch them fly off. Never heard another shot any where close and did hear some very distant shooting but not very much. We were the fence row cove down from Beaver and know there we some guys hunting the Saunders cove in Beaver and guys down at Blackwell. Saw fewer than a dozen ducks till we picked up at 10:30. Boat ride down to Snapps and back up to Birmingham Rd cove and alil further up towards barker hole yielded no birds seen other than 3 hoodies up at the Tin Whistle in Beaver. Kind of a disappointing morning, thought it would of been more productive with weather up north. This was probably my last hunt of season. Very odd season as far as the ducks go but I have no complaints tho as I was still able to get out and did shoot a decent number of ducks.

Congrats. Lot better than the goose egg we got today on bull shoals.

Congrats. Found a field last night that ducks were just flat out pouring into less than a mile from a pond that we hunted on. Went to pond this morning hoping they would atleast give us a look and never did see near the number of ducks we seen yesterday. Did have about 20 ducks give us good looks and put about a dozen mallets on the water kept pitching just out of our comfort shooting range. Hoping with all the cool weather and snow cover up north will put some birds on Bull Shoals the next/last 2 days .

don't blame ya, sounds like you got the "Hen" model .

Hunted with a buddy on a farm pond. Started out slow this morning on pond A, saw maybe a dozen gaddies at first light and only was able get 2 within shooting range. Hunted till about 10am before deciding to check out pond B. Get to pond B and put our sneak on to see it loaded with mallets and gaddies. After trying to strategize the jump and executing it we only managed to drop 3 greenheads and a accidental hen that was caught in the crossfire . Sat and waited to see what might come back and we managed to get 2 more gaddies. Turned out to be a good day from the way it started.

One of the spots we scouted after the hunt during that afternnon shower . Amazing how it just rained in the boat, gotta love full throttle boat rides when its white capping .
-
Not the same spot we hunted saturday HYDE, as long as your the same HYDE that hunt with Shaw and I .

The one or two hulls I can see being over looked but a box worth or more??? not only does it look bad but also tells people that it might be a hot spot . Picked up over 100 hulls out of one spot last year up in Beaver Creek, thinking either the hunting had been really good or they were that bad of shots .

Have noticed a couple of kids from CofO started hunting it this year as well, my boys have run into a couple times and haven't had any problems with them. It's not that big of an area and can't handle a whole lot of pressure which it seems to be getting alil more than usuall but so far the few that do hunt it are getting along. knock on wood .
-
Not too hard to guess this spot. besides myself and my boy's I only know of 2 other people that hunt it regularly and we get along good, and usually end up hunting together if one gets to the spot first, if not we just split up and have the courtesy to let birds work for each other and not call birds off one another or shoot at swings. It's public land and know there's nothing I can do about it other so don't worry about it too much, but one of my biggest pet peeves is empty hulls and trash left behind where people have been hunting. Picked up 38 empty hulls and candy wrappers from 2 different spots this morning.

Didn't prove to be too much of hidden gem this morning . Did see quite a few birds on ponds this afternoon, guess I need to start doing some door knocking to do alil pond swattin'.

Surely it wasn't the bent tree that gave it away . Shot amany of birds off this point over the past 15 plus years. Problem is the yahoo's that like to pull up to it while your hunting, both by vehicle and boat, the joys of hunting public land . Watched a guy belly crawl up to the dekes one year and got to about 30 yds from them and jumped and yelled at them trying to get them to fly off. took him a second to figure out they were dekes after I yelled him "you shoot em, you buy em". Last year kept having a guy show up across the cove from me about 8:30 in a ford bronco2 and let his 5 mutt dogs out to run and yell at them the whole time for about 30 min's. Haven't seen him down there this year thankfully. Only problem I've had this year was my dawg getting caught in a leg trap as she was chasing a crippled up on the shore. Thankful that it wasn't any worse than it was.

If were guessing spots shouldn't be to hard . 72 degrees according to the truck gauge.
