Someone died because they were trespassing and in this country, no matter what nationality you are, using deadly force for trespassing is murder. Anyone convicted of murder in this country faces the laws of this country, whether they are a citizen or not. The matter is not made worse because the shooter in this case was an illegal alien. He could just as easily have been a citizen. If he were a citizen, this conversation would not be happening. Unless someone decided that the citizen had foreign heritage and wanted to act stupid and bring up some racist hate speech like we have seen here.

To clean my fly lines, I wet a wash cloth with warm water and run the line through it a couple times to get any dirt off of it. Then I dress the line with line dressing. I prefer to use SA Fly Line Dressing, but have used a product called "Glide Line Dressing" in the past. Just put a spot the size of a dime on a clean cloth and run the line through the dressing a couple times and you should be good. If your line is extremely dirty from pond scum and such, the SA line cleaning pads do a great job of removing that scum from the line. One note on line dressing brands. It would probably be best to use the line manufacturers brand of line dressing if they make it so the same compounds used in the line during manufacturing are replaced as you clean and dress you line. That's probably why I like SA line dressing, since most of my lines are SA.

If you think you are not a citizen of this world, then from where is it you are a citizen of?

You are the one who brought your forefathers into the equation. Call me a "birther." Can you provide proof positive that your forefathers came to this country legally? Can you provide proof positive that all your forefathers served this country to deny the rights of others to enter this country? Can you provide proof positive that you are in this country legally?

Perhaps not all of your forefathers entered this country legally and fought so valiently for the rights of non-citizens to become citizens as they have.

As the water warms from a long cold winter, the smallmouth get ready to spawn, regardless of moon phase. The 65° water temp thing is a general average of spawning for smallmouth. In northern climates, the smallmouth may spawn in water that is 55-60° or less. There is no hard facts as to when they will spawn. Only the fish know when it's time for them.

I took this pic of the dam yesterday (4-27-11) when the water in the lake was more than 3 feet below flood pool. Checking the gages today I see that Norfork Lake is less than 2 feet from the top of flood pool. Won't be long now before they start opening those gates even more.

I find it in poor taste how some of you can make political statements from someones death.

With the water flowing over the bridge like that, I would have turned around and found some other way to get to where I was going. There is absolutely no way I would put my life in a dangerous situation like that. And my hats off to you "bobber". I'd have to let somebody drown before I get on the water when it's like that.
