  1. And if the price for one ever hits $25, I quit fishing with a crankbaits and stick to fly fishing.
  2. I took a drive down to the Norfork dam earlier today just to see what was happening there. The parking lot was full. I seen cars/trucks from Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Wiscnonsin and a few other states. Yes sir, it's definitly time for the Sowbug Roundup here in Mountain Home. Forget about trying to fish below the dams for a while unless you like fishing shoulder to shoulder. I sat down there for about a half hour and didn't see one person catch a fish. Although the fish were rising 5 feet from where people were standing, they had to cast all the way across the river. It's this time of year that makes me sick to think about wanting to go trout fishing.
  3. And after the earthquake takes out the nuclear power plants, the light bulbs all go out.
  4. That was my car!!! Just kidding.
  5. There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
  6. No. I just don't throw my $6 crankbaits into the root wads along the river. How did it feel to lose that $25 crank the first time you went out and fished it? I'm happy with the few I pick up off the outside of those root wads.
  7. Oh no!! The sky is falling!!
  8. You couldn't pry a $10 bill out my hands for any lure.
  9. They also owe us for the technology that alowed them to nuke themselves. I'd say that debt has been paid in full a long time ago.
  10. You forgot the choice of "NEITHER."
  11. First off, I'm not registering to read the New York Times. Second, are we to eat zebra mussels? Round Gobies? Milfoil? They are all invasive species, and there are a lot more out there, that probably would not be considered good eating. Like carp for instance.
  12. So let's build nuclear power plants everywhere so we can turn our lights on and sit at the computer typing crap on internet forums. But make sure we build them on known earthquake fault lines because nuclear power is the safest & cleanset source of energy in the world. Those plants that fail use old technology and our latest and greatest technology will keep us safe for the mext millenium because it's so much better than that 30 year old stuff. Give me a break.
  13. Well I guess the Japs can't blame us for nuking them this time.
  14. Why not? We've been told a thousand times by all the experts on this forum of how safe nuclear power is.
  15. March 17, 18 & 19th at the Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church in Mountain Home. Just east of Hwy 201 on North St. Sow Bug Home Page
  16. I've gone through so many trolling motor batteries it wasn't funny. Then I bought an Optima. Never had any problems with it. Sure it costs more, but it's money well invested and it will last longer than any other battery.
  17. Don't eat fish. Let them eat swine!!!
  18. That's what they said about the grass carp a few years ago and now they have problems with them.
  19. I would imagine any color or size as long as it floats your nymph below. I like red, yellow and green/olive in about a size 10.
  20. You might want to add some Humpies for those indicator flies.
  21. I know I'm getting frustrated reading this cuz it ain't going anywhere.
  22. No. I'm signed up to help set up and take down tables tho.
