    I've never overlined my rods, but I do have one rod that could probably use it. You'll have to try it and find out how it feels and casts for you to determine if it's going to work for you or not. There is no set standard for overlining a rod. It's all in the feel and castability.

    For the most part, the Corps is forgiving in times of fishing events. they may just have the generators off if there's a tournament and someone confronted them with the issue of safety to wading anglers during the event. Not sure about other times, but from what I heard, last year they were pretty open considering the the Sow Bug Roundup weekend keeping the generators off.

    On the evening news on KSPR, they showed the crowd at Bennet. Some people should take notice of your post and head out to different waters to fish opening day. How can anybody fish when the next person fishing is less than 2 feet away? How many crossed lines do these people have to put up with before they get the hint? I guess maybe they just like fishing for the stockers.

    How about Lake Mendota, Lake Monona, Lake Waubesa, Yahara River, Lake Wisconsin, Wisconsin River... Just kidding. I'm not really familiar with that part of AR, but the Arkansas River and Lake Dardenale is close by to you. Not sure if they have any walleyes. Dardenale should have some nice bass in it although I've never fished it, just heard from BASS magazine. Bull Shoals Lake has walleye, but I don't fish it either. The Buffalo River should start picking up soon for smallies.
