  1. Don't want them hanging out the back either. Ask gotmuddy how often he forgets them and snags them while casting.
  2. Time to learn. The end result is another challenging way to catch fish. It's not as hard as it looks. I learned how, sorta. And you don't have to become one of those elitist snobs either. I sure as hell heck didn't.
  3. This reminds me of the first time I went fly fishing. I was fishing for steelhead. I went to make a backcast and low and behold, I had hooked a 6" sucker. Well, on my backcast, that little sucker come flying out of the water and landed a good 30' behind me.
  4. According to the "City ID" app on my phone, yes, 636-866-xxxx is a St. Charles, MO phone prefix.
  5. Guess he's just into smelly jobs.
  6. Thanks for the laughs FishinCricket. That came at a good time.
  7. No, they were just a couple of old geezers with their spinning rods and the mutt.
  8. Politics on this forum is looked down upon heavily. Why then is there a POLITICAL banner at the top of the page????????
  9. Fishing the White River @ Cotter this AM, I had a couple guys in a boat launch from the boat launch just down stream, motor up just past me, and start to drift back down into where I was fishing. Now if you're in a motorized boat, that kinda tells me you have the whole freaking river to fish. Why would you want to fish where some guy is wading? This is what I'm talking about. Some jerks just don't give a darn about others.
  10. But I live here now and I show common courtesy on the stream. So when we goin' fishin' again?
  11. Ok then. I get the point. Just the vehicles from out of state... Missouri, Illinois, Texas, Iowa...
  12. Well, at least ya got the important stuff.
  13. Ha ha. you so funny...
  14. I'll be sure to leave my mark as I'm leaving. Tomorrow, the generators will be off on both Bull Shoals and Norfork. Should be plenty of wadeable water for everyone. How can some daumbass ruin my day if there's that much wadeable space to be had? Oh that's right...
  15. I worked at one place where the employee cost increase went up over $100 a month. Turned out the insurance only went up 11% and the employer didn't want to pay any increases so they passed their portion on to the employees. Go figure, a multi-million $$$ company didn't want the extra expense. Pass it on to the little guy who needs it.
  16. Problem is, how to turn that little light on an off. Battery operated LED? Nope, too heavy for fly rod. I thought about dipping a piece of yarn in some of the glow paint I have for jigs. Hit it with a flashlight and let it glow. If you come up with something, let me know. I've been pondering that idea for some time now. Not just for trout, but for bluegills too.
  17. Next time I'm wading around and stepping into his territory. I really think that clown was from out of town. If not, he's gonna get a list of the stream etiquette rules that I posted here. I may just put one on every vehicle in the parking lot.
  18. Next time I won't be so nice. Unless it's only a ½ hour to generation and I've been freezing my butt off since 3 AM.
  19. I was swinging a woollybugger. I'd have had no problem with the guy if he had been stepping down stream. I wanted to step down, but he was stepping up stream, right into where I was trying to fish. He outright pushed me out of the stream, and that is what pissed me off. After I left, and started packing up, I seen him catch a really nice fish right from where I was ending my swing before he showed up.
  20. Why would someone go through the hassle of building a fire ring if there's already one there?
  21. Up close and personal. Got muddy don't like fishing 50' away. He likes to be right up on top of them. Ninja fishing.
  22. Not like that.
  23. I always like fishing a spot by making a few casts and take a step down stream, make a few casts, take a step down stream. When I get to the end of the hole, run, riffle or whatever, I move back up. Can't do that when 10 people are trying to fish a 50 yard stretch of water. I think it's just poor etiquette to move in to where the other guys swing is ending and stand there. I get a lot of hits from fish at the end of my swing, when I start stripping back in a few feet of line before my next cast.
  24. No. Your Ninja style of fishing calls for a long cast of only 5 feet.
  25. In some areas, *112 is an emergency number just like 911. Correction: Dialing 112 from a mobile phone is dialing a worldwide emergency number that can apparently be dialed even if the phone is locked. From Wikepedia
