timbuktom replied to whiteriverinnmoose's topic in Prayer Requests
Moose, Thanks for letting us know about the need. We will pray! Father, Tina needs a very special touch from You right now. The whole family needs to feel Your peace in this tough time. Be everything they need and let Your peace that does surpass all understanding surround them. Bring healing and strength. Tom -
Al, Thanks for sharing about your mother. It's hard to let them go but it was great that you were able to spend the time with her and communicate how much she meant. We pray that God will fill you with His peace as you go through this time of mourning. And don't forget to thank God for the hope that we have that this life isn't the end of it all. We have a hope and a future, each one of us and together as we trust in Him for our eternity. God bless, Tom

Lord, we do pray for flydude's mother-in-law. We accept the fact that we are not meant to be here on earth forever but we also know that You love each of us and Your plans for us are good. So with both of these in focus, we ask that You touch this woman and bless her days. Give her joy beyond her own understanding and fill her days with laughter. Let Your peace that passes understanding keep her mind and heart as she calls out to You. Thank You, Amen

Moose, Thanks for caring enough to share about your banker. It's easy to just feel badly for someone and let it go at that. Tom Father, We do pray for Debra. This debilitating disease is not too hard for You to handle. We pray that You pour out your grace in this family. Bring strength and healing, for Your glory. Amen.

Bobby, Thanks for sharing. We will be praying for Emmette that God will give him strength in both spirit and body. Tough times are no fun but they give each of us a chance to grow. We can't have a victory without a battle. Tom -
Rusty, Thanks for sharing. Am praying and will continue to pray for your brother. Tom Father, We pray that Your grace will cover this family problem. Where there needs to be repentance, help them to humble themselves before You. Where there needs to be healing, pour Your love into them and give them the strength to believe You. Where there needs to be tough love, give wisdom and understanding to those involved to meet the situation. Most of all, receive glory in this situation and show Your powerful love.

I was up in Springfield this week and could not believe the widespread devistation I saw. I heard the stories but seeing it firsthand was almost overwhelming. Now on top of that, this man has this happen. It would be easy to question life and God during this time. The most important thing is to remember that God's grace and purposes are bigger than the disasters that happen. Father, we ask that You show Yourself strong in this man's life. Bring Your grace to him and his family during this time. Let them know You in a very real and special way. Bring healing and provision to them as their friends stand with them.

Thanks for letting us know about Russ, Dano. Father, we do pray for Russ that he will know Your strength and power during this time when his body is being attacked by this disease. Let this time be one where He experiences peace that really does pass all understanding as he looks to You. Be with his family as they stand with him during this time and deepen the bond of love between them as they support each other. Make Your Word very real to them and give them unexpected joy during this trying time.

John, Thanks for sharing about your job status. It's tough to be in the "no-man's land" when it comes to how we are providing for our families. It also works on our self-image sometimes. Proverbs 3:5-6 is my foundation in times like these: "Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and don't lean on your own understanding, but in all of your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. Father, since you are our provider, help John to be able to have Your peace during this time, knowing that You have everything under control. Thanks for the times when our faith is tested because we know that You never let anything come at us that we can't handle, even though it sometimes feels bigger than we can. We're trusting for a good report from this because You are a great God.

J. E. Glad you found the page so quickly. It's great to know that we have a group of men who take their faith seriously. Use this page to support the rest in prayer and we'll see God working in many lives over the coming years. God, bless him more than he can handle! Amen Tom

9-7=2, We're still praying. I don't know of anyone who likes the waiting time but it does give one an opportunity to get closer to God and solidify the reliance on His strength. It also gives us a chance to do some self inventory; re-establishing priorities, getting a firm grip on the realities of life and the life beyond this one. The best can be knowing just how many friends are standing with you. Father, Since our timing and Your timing seem to differ, help us to remember who is God and who are the children. Help this family in their ability to have peace in the middle of the storm and a firmness in their faith. Give the doctors wisdom and insight. More than anything, show them how much You love them and how much they are loved by their family and friends. Bring healing and strength and an abundance of peace and joy. Keep us up to date as you can! Tom

Rusty, Thanks for sharing about your daughter. I have two daughters myself and know a little of what you're feeling. If and when it feels right, let her know that there are other men in the area that are praying for her that understand father/daughter relationships. (My youngest was married two weeks ago.) Father God, Thanks for caring more for Rusty's daughter than even he cares. It's important that the family be strong together but each has to stand alone with you, too. So please make this time very special for his daughter and draw her close to You, knowing that struggle is a part of life and will make her stronger because of it. Increase the father/daughter bond between them so that her confidence and self-image can grow healthy during her teenage years. Expect good things! Tom

Friends, I've been able to gather this much info on the incident: Divers recover body of drowned man The body of an Ozark man who drowned in Table Rock Lake was recovered by divers Tuesday in more than 60 feet of water. Marvin Cummings, 59, drowned about 2 a.m. Monday, the Missouri Water Patrol reported. The incident is being investigated as a drowning, at this time. I'm sure more information will be coming today or tomorrow. We will be praying for the family. Friends, be careful out there. Not everyone has your experience or wisdom out there on the water. Tom

BR549, I also want to encourage you in your situation. You're right, the more prayer, the better. We want you to know that you have many who are with you in this and are trusting for an incredible outcome. The verse that talks about keeping in step with the Spirit applies here, too. Also, God gives wisdom to those that ask for it (James 1). Expect to have some great insights as you walk through this thing and then just do what the Lord shows you to do. Keep up the good work. And remember that the others involved in the situation are more important than the situation itself. Tom

Kansas Fly Fisher, Thanks for sharing the needs of the families who have lost their loved ones. Nothing we can do or say will be more effective than praying for them during this time and being there for them. Father, these people are hurting right now. They have had their lives torn apart and are in need of Your special touch. Only You can reach into the very depths of their hearts and ease the pain these deaths have caused. Thank You for allowing us to help bear their load right now. Most of all, bring to the forefront the importance of our eternal destination so that we all can order our lives while we still can. Thanks again, John, for sharing. Tom

Hey, Crappiefisherman, Thanks for the heads up about your situation. 24 years at a career and then the brick wall can really bring you up short but it sounds like you have some good potential in front of you. Don't ever feel like you're being selfish asking for prayer. One scripture says that we don't have because we don't ask and another says that when two or three agree about something needed, it will be done for them. I like that because it actually prevents the selfishness from creeping in. When you can get others to agree with you, it's probably not as self centered as it originally sounds. So, Father, we pray for Crappiefisherman and trust that You are leading him as he walks his path in life. Thanks that nothing surprises You, even when it catches us up short. Thanks for providing him with a good wife and three great kids. Now we ask that You give him any special insight into the situation that he has found himself in and the wisdom to make the right choices concerning the direction he needs to move in. Oh, and bless his next fishing outing whether he catches one or not! Tom

Riverrat, We'll be praying for your wife. If there is something more specific that you can inform us about, that's fine. My prayer is this: Father, Riverrat's wife is in need of a special touch from you. Riverrat cares for her and knows that You can touch her specific need. You are the Great Physician of both body and soul. Let them see Your hand in their lives and know how much you love them. Thanks, in advance, of what You are going to do and we'll be very careful to give You the credit and the praise. Riverrat, keep us informed as much as you can. Thanks, Tom
