  1. I hired Bob Bennett last September and had a great time on Stockton. Landed what was the biggest fish I had ever caught to that point, but more than anything else learned the lake which lead to future success on the lake. Well as much future success as a first year angler could hope for
  2. Here's what they just posted on the OMTT facebook page..... Tim Sinato and Steve Redford top the field in the 2011 OMTT kickoff on Table Rock Lake with their catch of 5 bass weighing in at 19.62 lbs and took home $4,700 cash for thier efforts. The team of Tim Kirlin and Greg Degasse took home the Big Bass honors with a healthy 8.02 lb largemouth that earned them a check for $1,316.

Try Sportman's Outfitters in Springfield. It's on Bennett street close to the Kraft factory. Great selection, outstanding prices and very knowledgable staff..... http://www.sportsmansfactoryoutlet.com/about
  4. Looking to take my Little Nephew fishing this week and heard Crappie are doing quite well on LOZ. Any ideas where we could go that we could catch them from the bank or a public use dock? I want to get him into fishing while he is still young and think a good day of Crappie fishing might be a good start.
  5. Brad - was that you that caught that monster by the 2nd (west) discharge?
  6. WOW. 8lb drum. I've never seen one that big on stockton. Pretty good fight?
  7. Much of the water was frozen when I drove by last night around 9, but honestly couldn't see very far out. Just saw the water along the small road/island below the bridge. Water was way down and couldn't see the clarity or quality.
  8. It was the same way at Masters and Hartley.....

Like Champ said El Salto is suppose to be real good. Watched a Joe Thomas DVD fishing El Salto lake and he was pushing Anglers Inn. Pulled several double digit fish throwing a jig.
  10. Any good places I could reach Crappie from the banks? Not too familiar with Lake O and boat is out of order.
  11. Son's Creek was not frozen last weekend. Water temp on the west side of the bridge was 38/39 degrees.
  12. It was 40.4 degrees in the very back of Son's Creek by the boat ramp. My equipment might be off a degree or two because it's a little old, but I can tell you first hand the water was very cold. Just ask my frozen feet. First time all year I forget my rubber boots and it just happens to be the coldest day.
  13. Bob - Sorry to hear about the car wreck and the concussion, but glad to hear you're OK. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Well save some Crappie for you!!
  14. Any fished Springfield lake recently?
  15. I feel your pain. I bank fished yesterday around Orleans Trail and the State Park and didn't even have a bite. Tried spinner, wiggle wart, crank and plastics. Nothing. Hopefully have better luck in the boat this weekend.
  16. 56.2 in Greaser Creek on Tuesday night. Might see you at Ruark Bluff. We'll probably put in there as well. FYI - OMTT Tournament taking out of Orleans Trail on Saturday and Sunday.
  17. Heading to Bentonville next week for business, but have 3 or 4 hours I can do some bank fishing. Any recommendations? I'll be traveling South on 71C when I come in.
  18. Where did you get that rick clunn topwater?

    Great fish!! Nice work!!
  20. Here is a picture of one of the so called "3 lb at best" fish on a scale......Like I said a hair over four. As with most of his post MstStudent is correct. This fish was basically gorging itself on shad in the back of the creek, so it's belly was quite full.
  21. Good info. I must have just missed you. I was in the back of Son's creek around 3:30. Caught a couple of jig, but had better luck on the buzz bait as it got a little bit later. Like you said. A lot of small ones. Biggest one was probably close to 2. Also had some luck under the EE bridge. I was bank fishing yesterday. So getting from one place to the other was a little easier.
  22. Pictures??
  23. None were over 4.7. Buzzbait was just a hair over 4 the 4.7 came off a Lucky RC 2.0. The 3.7 came from a KVD 1.5 Ghost Minnow Squarebill Crank.
  24. I released later after my buddy got there. Just wanted to rub in what he missed by sleeping in
  25. Caught some nice ones in the back of Son's Creek on Friday in 4-6 feet of water. Crank Bait and Buzzbait.....
