  1. I think there were some stripers here, but didn't get any of these fish to bite so I can't say for sure.

This wa in front of PC today around 4pm

  2. 63 this morning got up to 65, with the cold night I was hoping it would cool down.
  3. I know those big MO black bass eat AR trout, I have seen them do it right below the dam. But if we put stripers in Table Rock we will need more trout !
  4. I was out from 8am to 5pm started back of Coose trying to catch shad. The wind was too hard and could not see the gizzards until the saw me. Ended up with a handful of small blue gill so I trolled them. Went between the islands and saw nothing, ran over to Ventris found a lot of activity around 30 feet caught 4 big LM all over 17in but no stripers. Caught more blue gill and trolled to PC with only one spot to show for it. Then I got to the back of PC in 25 feet of water depth finder blanked out at 9, got the spoon out and caught 20 withes and 3 LM in 30 minutes. Live bait loaded up while I was playing a 4lb hybrid, the the drag started. Put the hybrid down pulled back on the live bait rod and it went slack, pulled the circle hook right out of the biggest fish of the day. Good day though
  5. That is a fish you really should try baked or on the grill if you have not already. Scale and keep the skin on, place skin down on the grill don't flip.
  6. Have you ever had this happen?

Yes there was a screw inside the hole, so I just screwed back together. Sent pic to fisn wrench for his opinion.

  7. Thanks for sharing, I am glad to here they are moving south.
  8. Looks like you were around point 5 ?
  9. I am not a wiggle wart fan, but I love that jerk bait bite. I also can't wait to spoon feed some whites.
  10. Sounds like it is that magic fall feed up, will be gone before you know it.
  11. Still looking, I need to pull the trigger quick
  12. Another cold front coming in, cold nights near freezing should drop the water another 10 degrees and start those shad moving shallow. That fall feeding frenzy will start any day now. I would look for shallow stripers right after sun up.
  13. I know what you mean, I had a great day with a baby bass floating jerk bait one day then lost it to a huge stripper. So I hunted everywhere and bought 4 when I found them. I have not caught a fish on that pattern since.
  14. I have several Bandit 300s in Pearl white all were picked up around the lake when the water was low. They were the go to lure for trolling before so many fish were caught on flicker shads and posted on here.
  15. Are you down near Hickory? They sure are not biting on the North end like that.
  16. There has not been a frost yet, so if you are in a chigger/tick infested area I would use the bug spray. I have not been in the woods or feilds this summer so I may not be the best one to ask.
  17. Good report, did you venture into the back of Monte Ne? I personal best have have come out of there.
  18. That is getting close to that my favorite temp of 50. I think the shad slow down at 50 degrees because that is when the feeding starts to heat up. I can't wait to find those big swirls in 4 feet of water.
  19. Nice fish, was she deep?
  20. Myself I think the cats are drawn into the lights along with shad and small fish, or it could be that I am drawn to the lights at night.lol Anyway find the bait and you will find cats.
  21. Right at the launch on PC I have seen some really big cats brought in and some thick hooks straightened. I don't know if you are fishing from shore or a boat, but shore fishing for cats at PC is popular and should be getting good. Right in front of the pavilions casting out toward the old bridge is where I have seen big cats landed. But I have hooked big cats all over the lake while night fishing for bass.
  22. He did have a red flag on his board, and the board was loaded down with supplies. But the man himself was very hard to see. The wind was blowing hard enough to make white caps. Then you add in two wake boats and a house boat in the area at the time heading for PC. At first I thought I saw stripers feeding on top but then I noticed a red flag and thought someone was in trouble. If you see me swimming in Beaver lake get there fast I will not last very long! I know I run wide open through that channel heading to PC from up north when it is time to go home. How no one hit him still amazes me. That red flag must have done the job, but like I said I noticed the splashing first. Guess I had big fish on the brain.
  23. There was no BOAT involved, this was a man swimming towing a board on a rope. The man was the POWER, the distance was about 25 MILES. NO paddles, NO fins just a man swimming. UNREAL
  24. I talked to man who was pulling a surf board while swimming in front of point 10. I thought it was a kayak then I saw someone swimming in front of it so I motored over real slow to find out what was going on. This guy said he put in at the dam that morning and he was at point 10 around 4pm and was heading to Horseshoe. There were some really big boats just running circles, guess if you spend $200,000 on a boat and don't know how to fish that is what one does, but they almost threw me off my 17 foot glass boat and in all that wake here comes this superman in a wet suit pulling a surf board. Anyone else see this or talk to him? Does anyone know this man?
  25. I have misspelled striper so many times, there must be a reason.
