  1. I fished them years ago when they were called the Red Man series. I fished both boater and nonboater sides depending on what lake we were on. Since I had little experience on Lake Oz I went non boater but I usually went boater on the Rock and Bull but if my partner was on something better than me I would go with him. If its anything now like it was then you will learn alot of new things no matter how seasoned of an angler you are. I have always believed that you can pick up new things even from the most novice angler if you keep and open mind and pay close attention.
  2. Crappie are not prime striper food even the smallest of the small, not sure how this is coming up as part of the conversation. But I'm telling you, there are alot of over 10" crappie in that lake. I have an uncle that can prove it to you. He could go to your toilet bowl and catch a crappie the size of a pie pan. I dont know how he does it as I'm not a crappie fisherman but I promise you he does.
  3. Is Russ Breakinridge still down there?
  4. In that case, Oakland is a nice place. When I lived in Mtn Home I used to go there alot to unload.
  5. They are there, believe me.
  6. IMO Buck Creek has the nicest park on the lake but thats just my opinion for what its worth
  7. Donnie I brought back all those green fish for them to eat, and the whites. I fried fish that night and had some for the freezer as well.
  8. I live on the Bryant and if it were me I would fish the deeper holes with large rocks with small crawdad looking plastics with 1/8 oz heads
  9. I had a home inspection last Friday about a mile from the boat ramp so I hooked on my boat and took i t with me. Got on the water around 10am and fished 'til 2:30. Had 16 keeper bass and 2 whites while throwing crankbaits along bluffs from Beaver to Barker Hole. It was a good day! Natrurally had to stay on the windy bluffs. Water temps in Beaver was around 53-55F. The main lake was 53-51F.
  10. Striper lakes also get the bass to be even more open water oriented than they already are. On Norfork for instance, you will see bass swimming under stripers. I do not want more stripers in Bull Shoals. It will hurt the bass fishing, not by bass being eaten but by bass roaming open water more and more than they already do. Champ188 is correct also in that striper lakes have a smaller weigh in rate than non striper lakes. Want stripers? Go to Norfork or Beaver.
  11. I live on Bryant! Fish the deeper holes and put in at least to Hodson Mill and go down. Try small crawdad lookin plastics on 1/16 up to 1/4 oz heads when the water has alot of current.
  12. I vote to keep 'em out. It will make Bull Shoals more like Norfork and that we do not want
  13. What's it like now to run from Beaver to K-Dock? I will be putting in at Beaver tomorrow
  14. Are they still biting jerbaits over there?
  15. It took 20 lbs on Bull Shoals. BB was 7.5 lbs. The bite is getting better and better!
  16. In the event of a hard rain and mud is going down the rivers I like the 209 wart

  18. Dont forget some wiggle warts in the crayfish colors. Fish channel swings for largemouth and pea gravel flat pockets for smallies.
  19. Yesterday we weighed in 5 that weighed 16.84 lbs. Took 20 lbs to win and a 7 lb bass got big bass in the Joe Bass tournament out of Theodosia
  20. Both creeks get pounded to death anymore. I used to fish them both alot mostly for bass but would catch a few walleye.
  21. Yeah I think its called Trilakes or something like that
  22. When I used to do alot of crappie fishing I tied my own maribou jigs with a pink head and white maribou. I tied 1/16 to 1/8 oz heads but it always seemed I could catch more on the 1/16 oz. If the water is real murky a chartreuse jig would sometimes work
  23. has not set their status

  24. We caught a little limit Saturday on cranks and a 4 lb fish on a jig. Fished Little Norfork Arm
  25. You will have no probs. Unloaded there Saturday myself.
