  1. buzzbaits and pop r's were always may favorites there as well.
  2. Where can a person get Bagley crankbaits? Been looking everywhere for them. I heard they quit making them
  3. There are some good goggle eye and smallie fishing from Hebron to Hammond on the Fork and also on Bryant from the Monastary to Warren. I live on Bryant. Its not as good as it used to be though probably thanks to the otters
  4. Mike you must be tough as nails to get out there in the daytime now. I am really wanting to go and wet a line on Bull but I just cant take this heat like I used to.
  5. I caught a good smallie there several years ago. Probably the only one in there lol
  6. I personally would rather go to Fin and Feather
  7. You shouldnt have any problem finding that on the Rock they are everywhere. Just figure out what end of the pond you want to fish
  8. I am really wanting to go down there but I just cant take this heat lol
  9. I have been wanting to go there and bass fish. Anyone catching any bass over there?
  10. There's some good bass and goggle eye fishing from Hebron to Twin Bridges (hint hint)
  11. You guys are missing out on some good smallmouth and goggle eye fishing. They are eating right now
  12. I've been creek fishing all my life and I bet I can catch just as many smallmouoth and goggle eye on my UL as you do on heavier equipment. I often use 1/16 and even 1/32 oz heads and I have to use 4 lb to cast light lures
  13. As long as there is current then yes you can catch multi species of fish there. Go up to the bait store on top of the hill there in Forsyth and invest in some 3" sliders that are pearl with a chartreuse tail. Use 1/16 to 1/8 oz lead heads depending on how much current is there.
  14. If you want to see alot of cottnmouths, go up to Flat Creek and go along that bluff on the right. They are usually pretty thick there along the ledges
  15. Thanks a bunch! I shall take this advice
  16. Are you talking about the flatter types of gravel points? Thanks
  17. My friend and his son that is in C of O now is planning to fish a night tournament out of Cape Fair in July. The son asked if I would take him down there to practice a couple times. I havent fished the upper James in years. I know we used to could fish Balsa Bs during the day up in Flat Creek and James. Does that still work? I told him I would take him over there but I wont fish at night. I am too blind these days. Are there still night fish on the Virgin Bluff like there used to be? Would there be enough fish up shallow to throw a single spin after dark? Any info would be appreciated Thanks
  18. BS isnt too bad but Norfork is another story. They get pretty stupid over there
  19. I have a suggestion for you all
  20. My neighbor has been catching them under the light around the Pontiac/Theodosia are for what that's worth

The brocoli is ready to pick now here is the caihua. its the first time I have ever seen it grow. I think my panels need to be taller though. Here is one of my 12 KBX maters. Cant wait to slice one of those orange fruits of heavenly delight!
  24. I have a little tip that sometimes works. Take the front hook(s) off your spook. Tie about a 3-4 foot leader to your back hook and tie a small gitzit, maribough jig etc or 2 to the leader. Now your spook wont work very well at all however the fish will often hit that "trailer" before they will commit to you topwater. I saw Dick Collier literally kill 'em doing that one day. I think that was Dick. Thats been years ago.
  25. Ok, this is what I would do not only on TR but also on Bull and Norfork. My #1 deal would be a 6 1/2 ft spinning rod with a gitzit. A gitzit is 1 lure that you can always catch a fish on even if a better bite is on something else. Its a versatile bait that can be fished shallow or deep. When the bite gets tough it can save the day! My other set up would be a 6 1/2 med/light action baitcast with a green crayfish wart. That way if the wind blows thus making it hard to fish the gitzit I can still sling and wind. This wart is a great color and if you fish it long enough you can usually catch "something" on it. Anyway thats my $0.02 on this
