  2. I have a 6 wt Predator. I throw a SA 7/8 wt bass taper line on it and can throw meaty rabbit strip streamers with ease. I love the rod. I did break it while casting on my first trip with it, but it was pretty late at night/early in the morning on a gravel bar on an overnighter so I will just say it was my fault. BUT, they didn't charge me to replace the broken section and upgraded my rod tube that had a broken zipper also. Their customer service is tops. I also have a 9wt Crosswater outfit. My only gripe with it is the Rio Mainstream line that comes with it.
  3. What all has happened so far? Have you had much communication with anyone? Are you at liberty to discuss such matters?
  4. Nice! I've been meaning to fish that stream for quite some time now but still haven't found time to make it out that way.
  5. I don't buy barbless because they are expensive. I do mash the barbs. If you know how to fight a fish you don't have to take any longer to land them and don't lose many more than with barbs. I'm not saying people who do fish with barbs can't fight a fish though, mind. Plus flies are retrieved from fences/weeds/trees/rootwads/theguyinthefrontoftheboatshead/your shirt when they are barbless.
  6. I have to agree with you on this one Ronnie. Of all of the fishing in all of the places with all of the people and all of the fish I caught and all of the fun I had this year, this is tops: Preston's first wild trout
  7. Was the sculpin tied on the end of his fly line or did the cat eat the leader too? Or more likely, am I just not seeing it?
  8. I looked at the flat lenses but I don't want to compromise the OOW quality and wide angle. The only way I would do the flat lens kit is if I had a housing for under water and one for OOW. That would be too much of a hassle though.
  9. SE Wyoming.
  10. Which flat lens do you have on your GoPro? How do the out of water shots look with the flat lens?
  11. A wise man is slow to deem trustworthy a man so willing to divulge the "secrets" he knows.
  12. Strong work, Ronnie Moore. I must have missed the trip when the 1st slide was in attendance???
  13. That caption is per-fect. Do you see that look in his eyes?!
  14. If you had seen ALL of the pictures you'd be digging those heart-shaped eyeballs right out of their sockets with a spoon.
  15. X a BILLION.
  16. The wind was brutal. That picture captured it pretty well too, look at the fly lines and the chop on the water.
  17. Threads like this just remind everyone about these streams. Increasing pressure by reminding everyone that these streams are here can't seem like a good idea to anyone who has the mentality to avoid the redds yet there is one (or more) that pops up every freaking year. It's like the tools that get on national websites and blab about these places and think they are doing the stream a favor.
  18. Good thing circus peanuts don't have lead eyes, huh? Nice photo Smalls.
  19. Yes, and it's very annoying.
  20. Yeah, that only happens on ozarkanglers.com.
  21. What's with the personal attacks Drewsky? Still having those jealousy and anger issues?
  22. Why risk killing a fish if you are not going to keep it? If people showed more respect to our natural resources as a whole, the world would be a much more pleasant place to live.
  23. X1000 How many yards for unsportsmanlike conduct on the original poster for his pictured infractions, ref? Last I heard stupidity still isn't punishable by law. This is exactly why you don't do it.
  24. In addition to what Wrench said, in many streams the conditions are right for the fish to go through the motions of a spawn so you will still see redds and other evidence of spawning even though no fry will/can be produced.
  25. Have you worn a pair with rubber made from the technology of the current decade yet, Eric? Take our last trip on the 11pt for example: I guarantee I waded into more stoopid spots than you did (am I really bragging about this?!) and the only time I ended up in the drink was because of that darn kayak, not felt soles. Don't say I didn't warn you about them being worthless on flat mud surfaces though.
