As far as Crappie go, I have caught none...I fish the lower lake usually putting in at Hartley Boat Ramp. I caught one last year. In years past this part of the lake has been good for Crappie. However, the Walleye bite has been very good, as it was last year...

Ive had NO luck around Hwy. 215 bridge area...Im headed UP the river in the morning...

I have fished the "lower" end twice this week and caught exactly 0....minnows, jigs, deep, shallow...nothing...good luck...

Interesting that you caught a "small" Brown...I caught 1 a few weeks ago. Did they do some brown stocking? I was thinking they hadn't stocked since about 2012...

Sometimes Civil War soldiers on their way home worked for food...I know of some stone fencing in this area (Morrisville) that I heard were built this way.
