  3. I caught one pushing 15", but most were between 6" and 10". Looking forward to going back next spring.
  4. Pineville to Mt. Shira...first time...caught plenty...lots of paddling through shallow water...had fun...weather cooperated...may do it again...that is all...oh yea...saw 3 other canoes all day...6 hours...
  5. I agree that the employees who put up the signs are are just like us. Where my opinion may differ with some is, don't put these people in a situation where there job is jeopardized by having to make a decision to ticket or have towed, someone who goes around barracades. Use another, non barricaded launch site.
  6. Did the closing have anything to do with the lack of funding from the Government? Or a seasonal or maintenance closure? Either way, why would you, and 15 others, feel you could just go around the road block and launch your boat? I, personally, would have gone elsewhere....
  7. Nice variety...the elusive Walleye on Flyrod is my goal...maybe bext year...did it in Canada...
  8. Fished crawler harness Monday, mostly 20 to 25 feet. No Walleye, lots of perch nibbles, one crappie, 3 small bass, and one big catfish...32"...he was a beast...

  16. ...fished the Bennett access...water was running good...caught 2 small stockers in about 2 hours...both on small soft hackle type flies...nice quiet evening...I think I'll just wait till October....

  19. I WILL catch my first Capps Creek trout this fall or winter...unsuccessful in 3 trips so far...
  20. ...anywhere in the mountains is a great trip. I am not very familiar with the Rockies, but have fished the Sierras off and on for the majority of my life, very similar from what I've seen. Can't wait to retire there...4 MORE YEARS!!!!!!!
  21. I keep it in my head...I have 50 years of fishing trips up there...I remember every fish caught, when caught, and on what...that's my story and I'm sticking to it...
  22. I was wondering if they still use pretty much the same process today?
