abkeenan Those are better links thanks.. Agree about the weak kinks. Never know when you'll get the fish of a lifetime..and loose it cause ya didnt continiously check the line for knicks / kinks / re-tie ect..

Just something I stumbled on youtube to help clear blacklashes (and yes I get them alot and this works). I found it to really work well.. Im attaching a youtube link ( not mine), hope it helops someone..

PROP locks are available & easy to install & leave installed while you use your boat.. As are lower unit locks ! I only remove my prop lock when I do maint, it stays on the rest of the time.

: ) Hope I haven't offended anyone. Just with the history of the boys Ranch, I just wanted local residents to watch out for their families safety. For the past 45 years we lived near "Father Flanagans BOYS TOWN" in Omaha Nebraska- they have a similar mission as the outlined by the Boys Ranch in Lampe.. Boys Town in Omaha houses about 500 youths every year, there are probably incidents of violence there as well, but I can not remember any- especially any threat to local citizens ie: murders or assults.. I get a robo call via cell message when the Police get notified of any "unauthorized departures" from the Boys Ranch. This is for the protection of close residents as a compromise by the local law enforcement.. Just sharing ! Anyone can get on that call list by calling the Stone County Sheriffs dept.

The "Christian direction" is the questionable and certainly subjective. If that is what they were given, the Boys Ranch wouldn't have the history it has. Money rules... As usual..

2nd time in a month & a half. Another 16 yr old has escaped from the L.U.C. Boys Ranch in Lampe. 5-8 , 130 lbs, WAS wearing an orange jumpsuit & boots. This was reported this am , no telling how long he has actually been gone. Most of us know the history of the Boys Ranch so I wont even piss everyone off..

You really do not need to spend alot of money or get a high megapixal camera for fish. For good regular digital photos, 3 - 5 megapixals would be fine. Unless you plan on cropping a tiny section of your photo and enlarging 20x, most cheap digitals will have the self timer you need & will serve you well. Im sure you can get a camera app for your ipad/iphone that would give you some more settings & a 10 second timer. I know your pain however... Look at my avatar photo. I had to hold the fish flush against my chest and extend my cheap cellphone camera as far as my arm would reach to get most of the fish in the picture. ( I was so excited about my nice fish- I forgot where the real camera was & wanted to get the fish back in the water as soon as possible)

Too much water is not an issue. In 2011 I believe the water got up to 936' and I was catching Bass in my cedar trees ( that USE to be in my yard).. advise ? I would NOT get up on plane if I were you ! You should still have plently of early fun where the rocks meet the bushes !!! Let us know how you made out !!! ( with pictures hopefully)

It probably isnt as preserved as well as the old Kimberling bridge, but if there are still abutments there, thats some pretty good structure !

I never have found the Nauvoo Road submerged bridge that use to cross Big Indian creek before the lake was formed. Has anyone seen this on their electronics ? Next time i'm on Table Rock, I will look again maybe my newer DI electronics will help me find it. Perhaps I should follow the creek channel...

Sorry this thread possibly may have taken off on tangents, I just wanted all to be a little more careful with their stuff. I STILL don't lock my boats compartments and the boxes are still inside them. Once someone gets in my boat- they are going to take what they want. IF I lock the compartments they will pry them open anyway & damage my boat. I can always replace whats inside- I did remove 4 my more expensive rods & reels and electronics, & will just cart them back & forth each night & each morning. Since they thieves are slicing up boat covers to get inside, I removed my nice cover for a while & put on the Walmart cover that's just good enough to protect from bird crap. I agree, not worth killing someone over..and shooting the jetski -which "was" my preference (is probably a stolen getaway vehicle anyway) .

They have also stolen a few JETSKIS and taken some for "joyrides" only to leave them either floating or run upon the rocks & weeds (like my neighbors).. 5 or 6 nights on a row. Dont know if anything happened last night as we left this am (back to the city) . I took all my good stuff out of my boat. Hopefully they dont decide to take my boat for a midnight run up on some rocky bank....

If you see jet skis out in the dark am OR pm ...... Lead them like a duck ! We have two fulltime neighbors that have a good view of our dock. One is trigger happy and the other is a whack job. Heaven help the crooks if either of my neighbors see them. I don't condone taking pot shots at people but I understand. They have been ripped off in the past. Nothing worse than a theif in the night.

All around point 18, docks and boats have been hit EVERY NIGHT SINCE TUESDAY. STEALING ELECTRONICS GEAR and some JETSKIS....... MY NEIGHBORS boat h ad the ignition switch removed in an attempt to steal his entire boat....Suspects are 2 guys on jet skis. One maybe heavily tattoo'd. Watch out for each other...Sight your rifles in at 60 yards.... This I s getting old.....
