    Hasn't been closed for launching at any time { except for the budget thing last year) during the time I have used the launch. That's why I purchase yearly launch pass.

    Went to Viney Creek to launch today ( as I have done for the last 20 yrs winter and summer) but as I arrived they were locking the gate because the park was closed. I asked why but the fellow didn"t have a clue. Indicated that a meeting was to be held at Melton Center 9/16/15 @ 6:30. I could AGAIN express my views at this meeting and also find out how they would refund the money I paid for a yearly launch pass. Got 4 hrs on the water between Owl Creek and Viney. Water little stained, 76/81 degrees. Caught 4 with largest just shy of 5# on bluff ends with swim jig.

    Put in at 6 this am. Started with squarebill and spinerbait. No go so went to bushes (willows) with nutech and grub trailer. Finally good decision! Fish are in the bushes here. Didn't get out to main lake. Off at 10:30. Ended with 16 bites and 12 landed. 3 keeper size and one of those "one that got away" fish. Water 85,visibility 3-5 ft. Fishing in 10-15 ft, submerged willows. Fish hitting bait in upper part of bush. Nothing after jig settles to base.

    Water temp 85+, visability 2- 4 ft. Fished from 5:30 to 11:00 am. Bluffs. bushes, pea gravel, etc. looking for some clue. Chatterbait, baby spook, crawdad. Had 2 bites and one 14 15/16 inch fish. Caught on double fluke rig weightless in baitfish pod. 20 ft deep in 40 ft.of water. Slowest I've seen in a long time.

    Fishermans Haven cross the lake from Big M. Nice,they have dock and loading drive. Although across from Big M about 20 mi. drive by car. 417-271-3599

    Unit seems to have a lot of features for the price. My concern right now is the screen size. Think you would use a lot of split screen. Will that 5 inch screen give "seeable" detail? Of course, moving to 800 series adds another $ 300.00. Spend that on better glasses or a new finder?

    Brute series motorguide, foot control, 12/24, 41# thrust, 36" shaft. Old but still works just a little noisy. $50.00 Golden, Mo.

    I'm one of those die hard jig guys. Don't let the fish tell me to change bait just the kind of trailer or retrieve to use. Lately I've gone to putting a chatter head on the jig. Think it gives me more retrieve options with a jig. Fish the area from Big M to SK and have really improved my cast to catch ratio.
