  2. cnr, dont lose sight of the fact that the killing was over the right to gravel, it is a concern. I wont go into the factors that made it worse than it should have been, thats been done.
  3. I'll take that as " I wouldn't be wasting my time Gavin, thanks, lol
  4. Al, after posting that, I remembered something. I was born and raised (off and on) on a farm west of Eldridge on the river. I heard stories of the people there fishing, loading up their wagon with fish, covering them with burlap, watering the fish down at every creek and spring, on the way to Lebanon and selling them in town. I think this was happening in the 1920s to 1940s, At least that was my impression. I think it was a common, happened a lot.
  5. well Al, its plain as the nose on your face, otters are bad, they eat a lot of fish, lol Gavin, i am trying to learn to fly fish for trout, would i do ok there, or would it be a loseing propostion for me due to the trout population?
  6. I think it's out to the 3 mile marker FW.

I cant remember what year Canon redid their lenses to the current setup , was it the 80s or 90s?
  13. I am kinda old, it really hit me hard red when you said i had to watch my step on the river, the good days are gone i guess!
  14. Its funny that no one ever mentions the education system that teaches nothing about history( or much of anything compared to the past) as a root problem.
  15. Yeah, i used a homemade rifle stock to mount my camera on when i was using film, But i have the VR nikon lenses now so use a tripod a lot less.
  16. Oh, by the way, i have your site bookmarked, and ck it regularly, enjoy it very much, thanks!
  17. Well, my wife has really steady hands, and that does make all the difference in the world!
  18. My just took a pic with her samsung 3 of a Praying mantis, it was so good (better than my nikon) that I checked the megapix on the phone, it was 8 mp RS! No wonder it was a great picture! And a good little lens it a lot cheaper to make than a good slr lens, that helps a lot.
  19. Hey T i got a jack Russell, for 5 years
  20. thank you Chief, i am glad you will think before you speak, and be more more mature, that will work
  21. Dont leave us Smallie you cant quit fishing
  22. Its been going that way from 1945 on Al, more people more problems, not that it wasn't happen before that year. To many people, and with the education system we have we got a real problem. A Phd cant pass the 8th grade final from a rural school in 1897, lol.
  23. i guess the question is , where did they come from, and why? For those of us that dont know?
  24. Al, could you give a run down of the reasons why they are increasing in our streams. I know that its a study thats not done, but your thoughts would give us all things to think about.
