  1. I was out a couple of weeks ago, and I already have cabin fever. Great report.
  2. I ended up going with a Ross Flyrise #2 (with extra reel) on one of Mark's RDP Flyrods (7.6' Three Weight with blue metalic trim and gold accents, gold hardware, and rosewood insert) with Cortland line (dry and sinking). Mark just finished the rods and will complete the whole rig this week. I probably won't get to try it out anytime soon, but I'll be sure to post a report.
  3. Did you notice how murky the water is? I wonder how that will affect things.
  4. Mo Parks posted on their Facebook page for pics inside the state parks. If you are interested you can send them to: socialmedia@dnr.mo.gov.
  5. Today. I checked it this morning and it was the old page. The link is at the top right on the page. http://mostateparks.com/page/58502/trout-cam

    Crane 2/26

Great fish...and thanks for the report. I've got to try out the Crane this year.
  7. Yea, they changed Bennett to four two or three years ago.
  8. Great picks...can someone local post pics of the riffles at _____ Blue Pipe Hole. That's my favorite spot. With high water, that spot could be some really good fishing.
  9. I don't know...shoulder to shoulder fishing, beer, high water, and attitudes. Yea, they need that many officers. As soon as two idiots start a fight and it spreads to a dozen men, and a kid gets pushed into the water and drowns, people would complain there wasn't enough law enforcement. Security and law enforcement for large events are based on the worst case scenario not the best. No, I'm not a cop, but 20 years in the military has taught me a thing a two about planning events.
  10. I've never fished it that high...Is there basically no hope for a good day? Is the high water feed in from the stream behind spring, or is the spring pumping all that out?
  11. Got it thanks. Good looking fly.
  12. Holy crap ness...the people at work are looking at me funny because I'm laughing so hard and crying.
  13. Do mean to steal you thread, but have you ever tried blueberries in a patio pot?
  14. LMAO
  15. Do you have a pick and receipe for Dan’s turkey tail emerger?
  16. I was wondering...is the Little Piney is small enough for me to take my eight year old to wade and/or bank walk. Her depth limit is a foot and half, and I can carry her across holes every now and again. Thanks in advance.
  17. High quality scissors and vice. Ironically the tool I use the most is for sewing. It is a clamp on magnifier with a built in light. I started using it just for the small midge and trico flys, but now I use it all the time. Even when I'm not using it, I'll have the light on spotting the fly.
  18. Sweet, I'm headed down to Bennett for a week in May. I'm going out into the river for the first time. Looking forward to it.
  19. I could start by spelling your name right.
  20. Make sure the roe isn't from a male.

    Snow Honks!

    Take me
  22. I'm sure you "old timers" already know about the Angler's Art TV show. But for all the newbies like me, it is PBS television show in the Northwest that focuses on tying flies. I think we need a local PBS show...how about "Ozark Tiers" brought to you by Lilleye's Landing. How about some name suggestions? Anyone got an "Uncle" who works at the Springfield PBS station? Now back to reality...here is the link http://kwsu.org/Offers/FlyTying.aspx After you watch a couple of the shows...throw out suggestions on who could sit at the table.
  23. Got it thanks
  24. What are you fishing for? Boat or bank?
  25. Yea that did have a "Dear Hustler" start to it. I swear I only read the articles. Seriously though, great you doing right by other people. That is what makes this country great.
